Many reasons to love L.A. in this series

, Because Charles say the Laker will win the series I will go with them.:vomit:, but if I knew there was half a way for boston to win I would be more then estacy to see them win, but sad for Phil the only person on that team I care about! So Go Lake....Bost..!

Yes as a matter of fact I am^^, but this is not about that, believe it or not the Lakers have been my team from back in the early 80's, but when that knotty nose bastard (Kobe) created all that trouble and divided that team I have not felt them since, when he leaves I will get my team back!

And precisly what trouble did Kobe create other then in Shaq nutt riders minds?
Post the article, show me some facts other then TMZ type gossip.

Oh I know the trouble you're talking about. Him aking Shaq go to Jerry Buss and say "It's either me or Kobe cuz I ain't losing no weight so this town ain't big enough for the both of us" then Jerry Buss said...well carry your fat azz on din.:lol::lol:

And please don't try and tell me you give a rats azz about Becky

Blue

This is another example of folks not having a clue what they are talking about. They want to believe any negative senseless crap.

Going with my boys in LA.
Realistic thinking.............:lecture:
Laker fan til the end BUT I don't see us winning this series against Boston
.

We got 2 players that will show up every night ............ KOBE and FISHER.
The rest of them mofo are not going to stand up against those HEALTHY BOSTON ballers.

If Bostons had not had all those injuries the entire regular season, they probably would have had the best record in the NBA.
At one point during the year, over half of Bostons team was sitting with one injury or another and they had at least 3 starters out at once which is why Rasheed Wallace was thrust into a starting role during the season..
When they all got healthy before the playoffs and jelled, they are simply playing like they would have been all year.

The LAKERS 3rd player through whatever player is going to disappear.
WRITE THIS DOWN.
The first time someone puts some defense on Lamar Odem or put his butt on the floor going down the middle, he will retreat into his shell like a frightened turtle.
Gassol?, Bynum, and the rest, MINUS KOBE and FISHER, will disappear like they did against the SUNS in game 3 and 4.
The Lakers got a lucky with that put back by Artest brick shooting arse in game 5.
Nobody was playing defense for 3 damm games and they gave the SUNS 3 shots to tie the game again.
Let them leave Ray Allen, Rasheed Wallace and company open for 3 shots at a tie or win.

Luck wins sometimes.

Artest is the difference-maker because he pretty much owns Pierce defensively.

I wouldn't say he owns him. The Lakers should be motivated in this series from the butt whooping in Game 6 in 08.

But when you go down the line matchup by matchup it can get ugly.

Fisher will not have as good of a series against Rondo as he did against the Suns. Nash can't play defense like Rondo. Also if Nate Robinson comes off the bench and can get hot........the Lakers PG situation is no match.

Kobe will get his. He will have to work harder since the Celts have Ray, Paul, Allen and even Marquis Daniels to run out there on the wing.

Gasol and Odom better show up against KG, Rasheed, and Big Baby.

Bynum at least will not have to worry about Perkins scoring. But surely he won't punk Perk either.

Like GR said, the Lakers bench is suspect so that where the Celts have the advantage and if you MAN up against Pau and Odom they don't play hard. I would send Tony Allen out there to piss off Artest into something stupid. Artest aint what folks give him credit for. He can be had. You just have to go hard at him. The Suns had no trouble with him when they decided to go hard at the basket.

Rondo and KG's play will decide this series. If Rondo starts destroying the backcourt. Then the Lakers will have to decide if it is worth leaving Kobe on Ray Allen or whomever. The Lakers bench will have to show up for them to win this series. If they do. They got a great chance. But if they all sit around and hope Kobe can carry all of them by himself. It will be Boston all the way.

Allow me to counter... Watch Doc Rivers go to screen roll with Garnett and/or Perkins on Artest to free up Pierce. Gasol doesn't defend the screen roll well at all and with Bynum's knee it's gonna be problematic.

Artest will have foul difficulty and Pierce will get double digit points from the foul line. Artest can be reduced to a non-factor with that small coaching adjustment. Doc Rivers makes those type adjustments.

JR,
That sounds like what CL and MBigg were saying about the Suns series. Also sounds like what folks have been saying about Fisher against other PGs. Rondo is a great PG, but he is not one of those lightning quick guards that usually give Fisher trouble. Heck, Nash isn't as quick as he used to be so he didn't give him much trouble either, but Dragic did.

I don't know what series you were watching but Nash scored at will on Fish... what hurt Nash was the Lakers bigs clogging up the passing lanes. Nash could have scored more...should have scored more...but was looking to spread the ball for open looks to Stoudemire or kick it to the 3 point shooters.

Fish is a good, wily vet but his days as an "on ball" defender is over. Whereas Nash sought to beat him in order to distribute, Rondo will look to finish near the basket to either score or draw fouls on your bigs.

But Nash didn't score more. That's the point.
