Manning Passing Academy

That throw was like 60 yards lol his feet weren't planted on the throw. I know he can throw bombs with zip because I've seen him but that throw wasn't good. He was over thinking it and lost his mechanics

These ppl don't know football man lmao. The back up always looks attractive to jsu fans until they actually play. Also, Chang didn't really coach morikawa, he left before he could. JM from what i saw in the spring doesn't have the strongest arm, he doesn't run but he is an elite passer. How that will look in a game? Idk. But ivy is a great one and everyone seems to see it except us. I say ivy starts sep 5 and if he messes up put JM in for a series. .

BBF dont fall for the likes from these trolls...

Truth about Ivy is that he has RAW talent...And Its been a long time since there has been a freshman-like qb at JSU STARTING from the jump for an entire season we usually have juniors/transfers (Jimmy O, Casey T, Clayton Moore) at qb who can set the world on fire right away...the last 4 year starter we had at JSU was Robert Kent and he turned out fine...I believe JSU fans everyone for the most part are behind Ivy and we saw flashes of what he can do, but that doesnt mean that he doesnt have work to do in order to get better...He can be great but he's not there yet..

Our local news station interviewed him and Grambling's QB at the camp.

Im not falling for anything. You of all ppl should know i have my own mind

Ivy showed me that he has raw talent. A good QB coach can polish a few things on him. Ivy is a really good QB, but I believe that breaking his leg in the Tulane game really shattered his style of play. Ivy showed flashes of SWAC star before the injury. In fact Tulane, (who had a very good defense in 2013), could not stop Ivy on his only drives of the game. JSU should have been up 21-3 in the first half of that game if weren't for two picks that weren't his fault.

I really saw Ivy being the best QB in the SWAC at this point, but I believe that his memory of the Tulane game is stopping him from bring all of his confidence to the SWAC table.

I am a fan of this kid except when he faces my G-Men, but I wish him a great season. I think JSU has the weapons to make it to the title game. The coaching needed to get there is another question that needs to answered this year.

I watched the first half of the Tulane game online and the Green Wave was on their way to a war if not an upset before he got hurt. They couldn't stop him and he looked like he was a FBS QB. He looked better than Montana's kid who started for Tulane. If I am not mistaken,Tulane had less total yards vs JSU, but the turnovers were the key to JSU losing.

I think if this kid gets that injury out of his head, we will see more of a dual threat guy that JSU needs. As we both agreed on in another thread, JSU has the most talent in the East. Comegy is an amazing recruiter who left JSU with some very good former high school standouts for the next two seasons. JSU folks might have been ready for him to go, but they know that the man knows how and where to find talent. I think they have the most talent in the SWAC. We just need to see what their coaching staff is going to do with it.

The dude played behind one of the WORST offensive lines in the conference last year and put up some of the BEST stats in the conference. He's legit and I'm a little anxious to see what he does behind a revamped Offensive line. If given time in the pocket he will get it done. I think he performed well for his first collegiate season under a first year OC and first year OL grad assistant turned coach.

Man he showed me something at the end of the season. I think they protected him to much and didn't make him workout. As he got into football shape he started moving better and running better.. He was just a sitting duck early on... Hopefully he's been working on his conditioning this off season along with his passing. There is a performance training center in Madison. He needs to be over there staying Football ready...

That's already been looked at. Ivy would either have to fork out his own money or work out a deal under the table with an agent. You normally see a lot of the SEC guys working out over there....from what I've been told, we looked at this facility for a number of JSU guys, but it didn't pan out. That training center was where the "JSU" Pro Day was held where the scouts cut it short after the bad 40 times.

THIS staff imo did some good recruiting

This new staff showed in their second year of recruiting that they can grab transfers left and right. I don't think people understand just what JSU has on their sidelines. Vincent Hunter, Damaris Peppers, Malik Hamner and Zechariah Ray are something serious! Those kids are wonder pick ups by this new staff. While Comegy's kids will make up the bulk of the talent on JSU's roster, these new faces should just bring talent and fierce competition in key spots needed to finish the job.

Ivy was sacked way too much last season. When I watched JSU play, I thought the coaching staff did a poor job working with the O line because those kids weren't as bad as their stats showed. However, I give Harold Jackson props for trying to build a brick wall in front of Ivy with this new class. JSU is racked and stacked in the trenches! If Ivy is sacked like he was last season, then it's time to go out and find a new O line coach. The talent is there by far. JSU has a chance of having a great season if their coaches are game.

But at least we know he can throw......that ain't his problem.

I know that. Didn't you read my previous post about the Tulane game.

Anyway, yes the kid can throw, but he can run as well. He just really needs to get the leg injury out of his mind,(which is hard to do), if he wants to showcase his full potential. Ivy can play.

Well, I just received confirmation that you guys can call OMJ the new "Black Moses". Because he's about to lead a generation from bondage.

I was all the way with you until you name dropped lol. Hamner is a project, he won't play. Hunter is a man amongst boys, Zechariah got picked up and put on his ass twice by our center Alem amores. Amores is one of our strongest OL. Ray being 6'7" 300+ getting put on his ass..whew. You didn't mention vallemond german, or nijee smith at DE. BeJay welch at SS. Ken Tyler (OL) was supposed to be at north texas. The talent is there.

Also, no offense but we had some ppl on both lines that had no business playing D-1 ball but we had no choice but to play who we had. Ron fuller was a 6'5" 270 DE who was basically impersonating a refrigerator he was slow and out there for no reason. Blake McCall OL got his ass outta lynch street because he couldn't run or pass block. He got beat on almost every play. Beating us was simple, bring 6 defenders on a blitz and play a soft zone. Boom, you just slowed down our offense.
