O'Reilly can be level headed when he wants to and isn't trying to push up ratings. I actually kind of like his show.

Me too... You watch it for what its worth... Now Glen "Lucifer" Beck and Sean "The Devil" Hannity, them two on some whole other ish...

There's a first.

Not really with O'Riley. He can throw punches and take them also. He not scared to let someone come on his show and they go at it one on one. He's a conservative but if you come on his show with str8 bullshat, he gonna call you on it. One of the very few shows on FOX news that I can watch.

All them folks on Fox News, MSNBC and CNN have an agenda. They are basically the same. One has a conservative slant. Another has a liberal slant, and the third one tries to say somewhere in between I suppose.

That's why I started to watch C-Span.

I been a C-Span addict since 10th grade. I remember the Iraq war debates back in 2002 and 2003. Man, I watched every day after school.

Beck show got pulled. He fell out with Roger Ailes. I posted a story about it. It was a big write up in the New Yorker about Roger Ailes and went in-depth about the problems with Beck. Fox News is a time bomb though cause Murdoch's sons don't like the direction of the station. Also, Murdoch and his wife are Obama supporters.

Especially Beck.

I thought his show got pulled?

It did, but its back on again in a different time slot,
Try 1am. I looked it up this morning, when I heard that Keith Olbermann was back on TV on a station called CurrentTV.

Post that link again. I didn't get a chance to read that article

I meant New York Magazine but here is the article

During a 45-minute conversation, the two men agreed on the terms: Beck would give up his daily 5 p.m. program and appear in occasional network “specials”—but even that didn’t solve their problem. Tensions flared over how many specials he would appear in. Fox wanted six, Beck’s advisers wanted four. At another meeting, Beck choked up; he and Ailes had always had a bond. And when Ailes thought Beck’s advisers were jerking him around, he threatened to blow up the talks. “I’m just going to fire him and issue a press release,” he later snapped to a Fox executive.

On April 6, Fox and Beck announced he would be leaving the network. Both were careful to squelch the anonymous backbiting that had been going on for weeks in the press. Ailes knew that a public meltdown would alienate Beck’s legions of fans who had become loyal Fox viewers. Most of all, he didn’t want Beck’s departure to be seen as a victory for the liberal media; that would ruin the most important story line of all.

Ailes is the most successful executive in television by a wide margin, and he has been so for more than a decade. He is also, in a sense, the head of the Republican Party, having employed five prospective presidential candidates and done perhaps more than anyone to alter the balance of power in the national media in favor of the Republicans. “Because of his political work”—Ailes was a media strategist for Nixon, Reagan, and George H. W. Bush—“he understood there was an audience,” Ed Rollins, the veteran GOP consultant, told me. “He knew there were a couple million conservatives who were a potential audience, and he built Fox to reach them.”

Also, Murdoch and his wife are Obama supporters.

Wait a minute here. The network that has repeatedly done everything in its power to undermine President Obama's stint in office is owned by a man who is a backer of said president? LOL That doesn't add up at all.

Yeah, Murdoch was considering endorsing Obama in 2008 but Ailes stopped it. That is when he made those comments that "Obama would win in a landslide." It was a sly, quiet, back door endorsement. His wife raises money for Obama. In 2008, his daughter held a fundraiser for Obama. No one in the Murdoch family is a conservative. One of his son-in-laws has verbally come out against the direction of Fox News under Ailes.
