Neither are ya'll.

BTW: Why would SU even consider playing a bunch of NECK's that don't even want them on their campus....................remember? .

Guess the water is really that cold.:goof:

Bruh you missed the entire point trying to point a finger...at least Southern is trying...you know making an attempt...instead of sitting back saying well...them good white folks up north not goin play us blackys...but WE'RE a HEADLINE HBCU!!!!:lmao:

I would want to see Gram whoop on UL Monroe!   It would be a nice match up! I agree Nupe, we have to whoop up on some Non conference opponents. Hopefully I would see Gram & ULM playing a home & home series! I wonder if we can schedule ULL!

JBR..I have been wanting to see that for years...and a game against La. Tech...but the game with La. Tech probably will never happen because of what Mighty Dog spoke about...TOO POLITICAL.

Dude ......................stick to what you HALF-WAY know.

Evidently you didn't read the first post.

Once again...................Mississippi St. and OLE Miss don't even play USM..............Won't even talk to them.
The only instate team's these school's play are EACH OTHER and they don't even try to hide it.

But keep shufflin' and hoofin' thinking that will take you places.:shame:

The same reason will be why SU and LSU will not play on the football field.

I commend Southern for wanting to step out and do that. The crowd will be there, heck I'd be there for that.

You do realize that SU would only get 2000 tickets for this, right??

Maybe we have no interest in playing Ole Miss of MS State.

If LSU and SU plays there will be a racial war going on in Baton Rouge. Its in everyones best interest for this not to happen. We should schedule a team like ULL.

Race war??? Come on man... When SU BEAT LSU in baseball, there was not fallout. Why would there be a war when LSU beats SU in football?

If SU was to beat LSU in football you know them red necks wouldn't appreciate it. Football & Baseball is a different sport. SUjag I was thinking the same thing about us scheduling ULL or ULM.

Let's keep it real. SU is not beating LSU. None of the state schools have the resources to stay on the field with LSU.

Yall negroes to sensitive down there in the south. Man those two schools could compete with a race war. The political part would come in to play as to the location of the game and equal number of ticket sales. etc....

Cat.......:smh: :smh: :shame: Did I say SU would beat LSU? I said if SU was to beat LSU.

JBR...his comment was not to down SU but to be real in comparing resources which includes recruits.
I know that. This game can maybe help recruiting also.

Let me ask you something. Have you ever been to an LSU game. Have you saw how they treat the visiting team and fans. SU fans not having it. Trust. The second someone throws a beer on a SU fan, or says a racial slur all hell will break out. Did you see how they treated their own black students, football players too, when they marched last season protesting the rebel flag. No way SU beats LSU now. In 93 SU would have given them a game.

Seems to me that some folks still thinks its's not 1957 and not all of them are white.

:alicia: Don't these two teams play each other in basketball? I know there is something strange about football, but this Alabamian thinks that the cream of our crop should play the major D1 teams. Racial concerns? Hasn't race mattered for nearly 400 years? So what's the difference now? Racial problems are always there, always will be there. I believe that Gram set the precedent by playing and beating up on PAC 10 foe Oregon State back in the 70s. If Gram could play Oregon State in the 70s, why can't SU play LSU in 2006? They should play them. SU has been successful as well as LSU and why not have them play each other. When JSU was JSU back in the day, Ole Miss and MSU should have played them. Once JSU gets back to full strength, if they want, if they want, someone should approach Croom about a game beween JSU and MSU. Just my opinion!

I agree. It gets pretty crazy in that stadium.........It would be an all out disaster.

I've been to LSU games. Student section and nose bleed. They do get rowdy, but an all out race war is a stretch. It's not like there's going to be 45K black folk in the stadium to wage a race war. LSU is not giving up half the stadium to anyone. They have over half of the place sold out just with season ticket holders alone.

Thank you. Quit exaggerating.

If SU and LSU wasn't in the same city, I would say play the game. Read the article, racial issues must be something if both schools administration was concerned about it. Maybe I was a bit extreme when I said race war, probably should have used a different word.
