JROCK...Port Allen won the Class 2A girls title. and LC-B was tied with Wossman for overall points..

I was there Friday and Saturday...race of the whole thing was the 2A 100-meter dash with Joe McKnight and Luther Ambrose. Ambrose got him by .028 or something like that...very close and very fast. They both hit the tape around 10.58 or 10.6 or soemthing...

But that Alexander kid from Belaire is just world class. On the girls side: I was there to watch Tate from Loranger as she won the 100, 200 and 100-hurdles. and North Vermillion had arguably the fasted white boy I've ever seen in my life. He looks like a WR when you're up close to him. Tremendous athlete.

And That Lab won state in boys and girls..Whats great about the girls they only had 4 girls on the track and one in the field..Plus it was graduation day for the seniors..

I didn't make it over to Bernie Moore, but the clips the showed on the news made it look like a packed house. What was the crowd like?

Anything to be of some service to one of my initial smack board sponsors (along with Panthro...sup y'all)....

But the stands were packed Friday, in spite of the early storms and Saturday...the weather was typically balmy south Louisiana...but it was a good day for running...

The Opelousas track team (home of many great S.U. track alums including Rodney "Dice" Milburn) is coached by a Southernite and won every boys track meet they competed in this year. I will assume that the Lab is coached by a Southernite also but not sure.......

I had a cuz somehow go to Tulane for track after a strong career at Opelousas..

Opelousas was great for SU football in the past....now, I don't know but the talent is there...just drive down Jefferson Street on a summer day and their on all the corners

might have to check on that Brandon Roberts kid...that last name sounds familiar
