I know everyone remembers little Rudy from the Cosby Show. Well, it looks like she's all grown up now.

SANTA MONICA, California ? Where does a rapper named after a slang word for money meet women?

"I met her at a bank and I got her number," Chingy said at last week's Vibe Awards.

Perfect, right? Too bad it was scripted.

The bank hookup is the opening scene in Chingy's steamy next video, "One Call Away," and the woman is actress Keshia Knight Pulliam, best known as Rudy Huxtable on "The Cosby Show."

"It's just like I'm trying to get with her," Chingy explained of the plot. "[After the bank] I'm at a basketball game and she comes up with some of her friends and stuff, then she leaves with me. We go back to my house and play video games until we get in the shower. Then we get in the shower and ... I'm not gonna tell you all of it. You'll see it in the video."

Erik White (B2K, Ludacris) shot the clip in Atlanta a couple of weeks ago and it's expected to premiere in early January on MTV's "Making the Video."

Chingy wanted to release "One Call Away," the third single from his double-platinum debut, Jackpot, as something for the ladies, after two party tracks, "Right Thurr" and "Holidae In" (see "Ladies, Chingy Wants You To Know He's Only 'One Call Away' ").

She actually graduated Spelman about a couple years ago. She is also a Delta. Kind of surprised she did a Honey spread though. I know I saw an interview with her right after she graduated and she said she wanted to get back to acting. But it was going to be tough overcoming the "Rudy" image she had. I guess she is coming out. Sounds like that video with Chingy is kind of out there a little. But I guess that coincides with the Honey spread. Her agent must be telling her to sell herself as a sex symbol to get Hollywood to notice her. Hate to see her become a video girl though.

I bet Bill Cosby is like:eek: @ the new "Rudy"

Wasn't Bud the guy from the Steve Harvey show, Romeo?

And I can't see the pictures of Rudy....

Wouldn't a good show for her would be "All Grown Up." This show would feature Rudy all grown up, graduated from college, and on her own. Same moral values as the Cosby show along with some modern day pressures. Then she could have cameos from the old gang and feature guest from A different world too. Just a thought.

Lets write it up and send it to NBC... Where are the lawyers?

Merlin Santana was Romeo. He had some apperances on The Cosby Show, but he was not Bud. Merlin S. played the guy on Cosby that Rudy liked, but Bud always tried to break-up.

That would be a great show idea, but unfortunately, NBC and the other networks would rather put these trashy reality shows on TV.

No, Bud was the darker guy, who grew up with Rudy. He later played on the show "Sister Sister."

Romeo was that little dominican/hispanic brother who came later and became Rudy's little boyfriend. Rudy and this boy (was his name Stephen or something?) met at some art show/student program and hooked up.

Now Doc, that would mean putting a quality show on TV featuring Black characters. Why would any of the networks want to do that? They produce reality shows for next to nothing (no writers, no actors' guild to worry about) and get the mindless masses hooked on them, sell tonnes of advert time on that crap, and get high ratings.

It would cost too much and be too much like right for those slime to produce something like that. Now, if BET got their head out of their arse we may have something. Too bad we've been waiting for THAT to happen for about 20 years now...

I know she's all growed up and all, but why this???? After hearing about her attending Spellman and being all... good, I was hoping she'd be one of the few (if any) Cosby kids who wasn't trying to struggle along at an acting gig and do whatever they could to shed the "Cosby kid" stigma. Is it really such a bad stigman anyway? Man, that pic just makes me feel dirty :bawling: Well, a little anyways ;)

I like docmump's idea for a show too. They gave Whoopi her own thing for some strange reason; why not a former Cosby kid?
 
Not looking comfortable ... maybe it's just the black outfit and the gloves.

I know it's hard to let go, but accept it, she's not little Rudy anymore.

Actually Merlin Santana's character was "Stanley". Bud was always in the background trying to player hate while Stanley and Rudy were trying to do their thing.

Even though Keshia Knight Pulliam is indeed an adult now, it is weird looking at her like this when you still see her as a little girl in syndication every night.

Wasn't Jaleel White's short-lived show about that? But he was a little bit of a player in the show.
 
For a second I thought this was a picture of this hoodrat I knew from Lafayette. Scared da hell out of me.
