Like It Or Leave It?

Is it true that if you love something set it free and if it comes back to you...it was meant to be?

Tony is banned from this thread!:slap:

Not true. You could love crack. You could set it free. And if D-Roc comes back a few months later offering you an 8 ball....would it be okay to smoke again?

Hell naw - if you love something - work yo arse off for it. To do the opposite is plain 'ol lazy or selfish. I love this chair at JCPenney - I'm WORKING toward getting it RAT now like a wild horse.

I can feel that....

Beyond that, I know (through God's quickening power) I have things I need to work on when it comes to relationships & thankfully, I have those around me who've helped me to really see FORTITUDE and with God's help as He's been showing me; me, I've been stretching to be a better person. I'm proud of my progress. :D Big steps, small steps, any steps! :jump:

Well, I've seen that statement up there^^^ backfire on people a number of times.

Ex. Lisa tells her Chris she thinks they need some time apart. It's her not him...blah...blah.. blah.. Chris says OK and as they are apart he dates other women and never returns to Lisa. Lisa wants him but doing a test and she got her answer. He didn't put up a fight for her to stay with her and try to work things out. He left and didn't return. So it basically left her with the impression that she gave him a way out and he was seeing other women anyway.

So if you love something and set it free you better make it clear in a small time frame what your intentions are as you may not get the answer you were looking for. "For every action...there is a reaction "

Yeah! I stalk all the time. I'm stalking right now. Look out your window and you will see me with my computer hooked up to the pay phone. :retard:

Hey Tiny, is that the one with the push buttons?

I've never bought into that theory. If you love them (and they're not married), why let them go? I think if you let them go, hoping they return is crazy, and a big waste of time, and energy.

I've seen people do that, and when the person didn't come back, they'd say I guess it wasn't meant to be, and I'm like "no it wasn't, because you let them go." Too many times folks get caught up in a bunch of dumb arse cat, and mouse games, trying to figure out if someone truly loves them, when the proof is right in front of them, just by the way person treats them, talks to them, and looks at them, eyes never lie.

You also know when you're grasping for straws, trying to make somebody love you, who doesn't. I've seen a lot of women let some good brothers hit the bricks, hoping they return based on that theory, and the majority of the time, dude realizes that no matter what he does, that woman won't be satisfied, and reality hits him that she did him a favor, and let him go.

If you love something, and truly love it, like Fortitude said, work at keeping it, because once it's gone, it's gone, and if it returns, don't be mad when it comes back years later with baggage.....i.e....an Ex, kids, debt problems......

NICE

That's keeping it real...I think a lot of relationships are destined for failure based on how they start...If he or she is a certain way...don't look for it to change before or after marriage. You have to accept them as is...and remember we're all a work in progress. Tolerance is another issue all in itself...when you deal with relationships. If I can't tolerate things my SO does now...I don't see how I could expect that I'd be happy about tolerating those same things if we took it further...and got married.

The magic question should be, after you have exhausted everything in your heart and they are are not reciprocating, is that letting go or looking out for your best interest?

True believer in the fact that you can't make someone feel what they don't feel. Do yourself and that person a favor and let it go! You both will be better off in the longrun.

That's why I say part of this is true. Some people simply have never been loved to your definition of love. Remember everyone's definition of love is so different.

It's like women saying what a real man is or men saying what a real woman. It's like the dumb comments I hear on this page of women saying this is a real man, or that is a real man, and vice versa with men saying this is a real woman, or that is a real woman. It's based off individual interactions, and like I say talk is cheap, actions is what counts.

You can't tell on a message board. Get to know that person. Yet that's too much like right....plus misery loves company and some folks diguise their misery by thowing rocks at folks windows in an effort of exposing people and for what I ask for what....

anyway....I digress...
