Let's Do It Again: JSU Day of Giving

On Friday, August 13, Jackson State University will host the 7th Annual Day of Giving. This is a significant giving event, that invites students, staff, alumni, and friends to give.

This year the financial goal is $500,000. Last year's goal exceeded the initial target of $400,000, yielding a total raise of $671,097.57, with the alumni contribution coming in at 454,949.64!

Let's Do It Again, Alumni! Like last year’s event, a LIVE presentation called “THEE Show” will be hosted by Michelle Boyd, aka Chelle B of WJMI, but this year she is joined by JSUNAA President Emeritus, Dr. Hilliard Lackey, III in an Old School against New School competition. Tune in at 7:00 PM CST on JSU Facebook Live.

There will also be an opportunity for all donors to compete in challenges by joining their team of interest or class year.

Greeting Jackson State University (JSU) Tigers,​

We welcome our students back to campus as we celebrate JSU Day of Giving! The goal is $500,000 with 5,000 donors.

Join one of the Jackson State University National Alumni Association, Inc.(JSUNAA) teams to show the strength of our alumni.

You may give any amount to any area of your choice from THEE Inauguration of our second alumnus to become university president, Thomas K. Hudson, J.D. Those areas include the Gap Fund, THEE Sonic Boom of the South, Athletics, Chapter Scholarships or Endowments, and many more.

This is also a great time to give to “The March to One Million” by supporting one of THEE Blue Tie Gala Honorary Chairs, as we raise $1 Million for our students.

Please see the link to the JSUNAA Scholarship Endowment. It is important to give something for alumni to be counted, not the amount, as we increase our alumni percentage giving rate (APR).

JSU DAY OF GIVING IS TODAY!

JSU Day of Giving has always been an essential part of our annual fundraising efforts and this year is no exception.
We remain committed to providing superior support to our student-athletes, however; we can’t do it alone. We need everyone in Tiger Nation to come together and support our 300 student-athletes on Friday, August 13, for the 7th annual JSU Day of Giving.

Priority Funds:

Building Champions Fund (Provides needed upgrades for athletic facilities, equipment, etc.)
Athletics Fund (Provides unrestricted support for the immediate needs of the JSU Athletic Department)
Locker room Naming Rights (Provides naming rights on designated lockers for an extended period of time)

How To Give:
On August 13, visit www.jsums.edu/giveonline, select Athletics, and help us make history again!
