Let the smackin commence!!!

Thank you for you honest objective opinion. I knew it wasnt just me.

Pete Richardson sucks like Lil Kim after one beer.

GR,

I agree with you assessment concerning the "automatic" starting spot for D1 transfers. However, there is no need for you to get on here and make ugly comparisons. Some people are gonna be offended and rightfully so. Your comments were very inappropriate. I think you should apologize to the many Lil Kim fans who might have been offended by your comments.

Dear Lil Kim:

I would like to apologize to you. Even though you present yourself as a whore and seem real whorish, Im sure your persona is projected that way to help you sell a million albums or so. My apology derives from the fact that I compared you to a free ho. At least you are getting something out of you whoredom, Pete Richardson is a free ho and will bend over for any person that initially turned his school down, but decided to join SU after they found out they were not good enough for Division 1 .

So Lil Kim, please accept my apology. You might be a ho, but at least youre an honest ho.

Sincerest Apologies,

Get Ready

I continued to thumb thru this SU Media guide before I was about to throw it in the garbage and guess what I saw? The SU folks done penciled Ike in on the PreSeason All SWAC team. They conveniently put him on the second team with a little asterick by his name.

You SU folks are a joke. How do you live with yourself?

We live very well with ourselves GR. Unlike you we don't worry about any other school. You know why? Because we are SU and you are well.....................you know the rest. Dude you about as bad as Ryan on here. Obsessed with SU. Why do you care what we do at SU. Why don't you go to the MEAC board and tell FAMU not to start Casey Printers. I guess Marshall put Randy Moss on the bench when he first got there too.

Your azz can't read very well any damn way. Didn't we say we had a bunch of Rbs coming in this year. If they were playing last year, don't you think they would have got into the games , since we had so many injuries? And what the hell is Ike going to do to the other guys. He has one freaking year left. Did Hayes start when he first came over? He was a HS All-American too. No he didn't because we had WRs who already were playing. Singleton is the only one he can be mad and he aint ready to go yet. BTW he was a Freshman last year. Bo Jackson another Freshman would have been in the mix too if he had not got hurt and then not take care of his books. So that left Ike and Miller. Miller is another transfer so why should he get special treatment either. Since you read the Adovocate you should know all about the rbs we got. Just worry about you guys winning in spite of Hughes.

I tell you Jag Nation. Get Ready talks all this ish and can't back up nothing. What a loser mentality. He's like the bully who you slap in the mouth a couple times and azz runs like a little bia bia. So pay him no mind. SMH @ Mike Bigg for even cosigning with GR. You know your program is depleted as hell. You lost 9 offensive starters and have Bruce Bruce as your QB and you have the nerve to think you will win the SWAC. Your time is coming. Tick Tock.

Hey GR. STFU you myopic ..........................you fill in the blank. I wish I could take your azz out on the field just one time to give you an ole SU azz kicking. I never seen nobody talk more ish about a program with no title since 96. Man this is getting old and not even funny. I digress. SMH@ a once proud program that is in decay and denial. :(

But Mach, that's all you have is Bruce Bruce. He is your OL, TE, RB
need I go on. :lmao:

JR,

SU folks remind me of people that go on Trash talk shows to talk about how screwed up their lives are, but when the crowd gets on them they always respond with:

"Yall dont know me"
"Yall just haters"
"I do what I want"
"Stay out of my bitness"

No JR, you guys were on this message board bragging bout you had the deepest RB core in the SWAC. JRock and 79 went on and on about how deep you guys are. They listed Jackson and Singleton and all these guys that were just ready to tear somebodies head off. But now the truth is they are hurt, academically ineligble, momma dont want them to play no more. Just one excuse after another.

My question is, were yall lying then, or are you lying now? Which is it? You put yourself out there like that. Dont get mad at me for holding your feet to the fire now. If you dont want me to scrutinize your post, dont get on here lying.

Did you have all of these injuries since spring training? Do you have one guy that went thru spring training as a RB still on campus?

And leave the obsessed thing along. Nobody is obsessed with SU. I just know how to call a spade a spade, a liar a liar, and a spineless coward a spineless coward. And Richardson is a spinless coward for listing this kid as his starter BEFORE he even puts a damn helmet on. I just think thats low. It pisses me off. I guess Ill just have to get over it.

I shouldnt expect more from a school that had Jacoby on a billboard while at the same time ignoring the greatest running back in the history of the school. Somebody at that school has to get a backbone and start using better judgement.

Hey GR. STFU you myopic ..........................you fill in the blank. I wish I could take your azz out on the field just one time to give you an ole SU azz kicking

Typical SU way to solve a problem...........

You are shole right GR. But guess what.............that's how I was raised in Jackson. LOL. But you aint from there so you wouldn't understand. It will be alright. :lmao:

I 'll leave you to your endless rants about Pete being spineless, how we SU folk lie, and countless other stuff you have deducted. Man please. We don't have time for you. Why don't you go ask Hughes if he can stop Bama St from scoring 61 or stop TnState from dropping 64 on you guys. This is getting old. The Nation does not care what lowly azz GR of JSU thinks. You have no credibility on the SP anyway. You have blatantly lied for 6 years about JSU and you have the nerve to talk about SU. SMH@GR logic.
:(

JR,

This is sad....even you cant answer my questions.

I guess the best thing to do is just avoid them and hope I stop asking. Even 79 has abandoned all hope of defending this lie.

GET READY to be rocked by the gentlemen below.

This is the epitome of a traditionless program, but typical of a decade-renowned program. Things are back to normal. This is sad.

Just a reminder that your traditionLess program is 1-8 the last 9 years against your SUperior gstupid.

Your traditionLess program does not lead the series against your SUperior.

And last but not least everyone know whom your "DADDY" is. Now go back to the country and pick some cotton or "something."

After all them lies, this is how you respond.

You are the one that makes SU look bad.

Yall suck

Yall are exposed

Yall have no dignity

Yall have no depth

Yall have no honor

Yall have no talent

This is too funny. GR you will see just how deep we are at RB soon enough. I promise you. I can tell you right now OUR(SU) rb corp is much better than yours. You'll see. Oh man how you are going to see. I can't wait. ~snicker~ Just go sit down and worry how JSU is going to stop them. Remember a no name Rb name Singleton ran for over 100 yds on you last October. Just think what Ike, Singleton, Newman , Peoples, Tucker and true freshman Herbert is going to do you. I left Miller out because he won't even touch the field. Just keep sleeping on SU if you like. Actually for the first time, I prefer it that way. I see a Damn All Yall Statement in your near future. :lmao: So goahead and talk about SU should be shame and anything else that floats your boat. Again you are jsu and we are SU.

Nobody fears your storied program anymore. You are in decay. I know it, the board knows it, only you a few myopic JSU fans think you are still on top. Now how sad is that. You know as well as I do that SU can trot SU Lab out there in our uniforms and you will get a tough game from us no matter how many stars you have. So SU is 5-2 against you the last 7 meetings and you want to act like you own us. Get real. Just accept your gifts for wins the last 2 years. To show you how sad your program is. You worry about SU so much, even when you won , you turned around and laid down to GSU and Bama State. Wow what a winning mentality. SMH. :(

So is it now your contention that you have a deep RB core. At first they were injured and ineligible, now you are deep. What changed in a day? Remember you said this yesterday:

since we had so many injuries? And what the hell is Ike going to do to the other guys. He has one freaking year left. Did Hayes start when he first came over? He was a HS All-American too. No he didn't because we had WRs who already were playing. Singleton is the only one he can be mad and he aint ready to go yet. BTW he was a Freshman last year. Man you need to make up your mind and stop selling wolf tickets. Either you got RBs or you dont. Let me ask you this question one more time. Were you lying then or are you lying now?

Dude, don't try and turn my words around. That comment was made to your stupid azz statement that SU had no shame in giving Ike the job. If you can read, which you can't. Must be that good ole Vicksburg and JSU education:D You would see I said we are deep at rb because of who we have coming in. Go back and re-read my long azz post on explaining each position on the team. You will see the same names I saying now minus Bo Jackson, who didn't handle his business. I told you about Tucker in that long post, I told you about Newman, Peoples, Singleton(well you know about him already), and I didn't even mention Ike much at all. Again our rb situation is better than yours is all you need to know. You can call it wolf tickets or lies anyway you call it. Since you don't read the advocate I will post it here. It says what I have been saying. SMH@GR at trying to twist my words around for own purposes. Please use you limited reading skills to comprehend what is said below this morning in The Advocate. Also read what Pete said about Ike and earning it. I tell you I think I need just to converse with Robber from now on. You are hopeless. I am going reprint my log winded article just for you GR. LOL

DEPTH AT RUNNING BACK: Texas transfer Victor Ike immediately gives the backfield a presence it has not had in a while. Even so, the team has much more depth at the position than at any time last season, when a rash of injuries kept forcing younger and younger players into action.

"Vic is the individual we're trying to press into that spot," Richardson said. "But for the others, it's a personal challenge for them. We're not just going to give it to Victor Ike. He has to earn that."

Sophomores Marques Newman and Kenneth Peoples, who couldn't practice as sophomores last season, true freshman Devin Herbert and redshirt freshman Rodney Tucker, impressive in the spring, are all vying for time.

Of those who ran last season, junior Leon Miller, who had 127 yards, looks better than he did a year ago, especially Wednesday when he caught a screen pass and slipped through the defense during team drills.

Junior Carl Singleton (knee), who had 393 yards and three touchdowns last year, hasn't been cleared to play yet.

Ike welcomed the competition and the depth.

Hey GR, since you like to read. Here is my orginal post to your thread called "Serious Smack". Read where I explained who we had coming in at RB. Notice I only mentioned Singleton and Jackson as rbs coming back from last year. I told you we were going to be deep because of the previous recruits we had signed that would be ready to play and of course Ike. BTW I feel bad I left one guy off who had a good sping along with Tucker. I totally forget about Gerald Holmes. That's how deep we are. I apologize to the board for you guys having to see this long post agin, but GR is trying call me a liar. I just want to put it in his face on what I said before. Looks like you are the liar GR. You just have an issue with SU. I digress. Well for you viewing pleasure.
****************************************************
Orginally posted in April...............

Ok GR, I finally have a chance for my write up. Lewis and PapaJag have covered some of what I was going to say . But here's my own reasoning on SU having a shot for Pete's 5th SWAC title.

First of all it starts with Pete. He has never had a losing campaign and it isn't going to start in 2002. He has won at SU with some great teams and some not so great teams and he is the Dean of SWAC coaches. Pete teams never quit or lay down. They have heart. While we have a new OC, I agree with Lewis. There had been rumblings around Jag Land for awhile on Orlando's playcalling. So while we lose his experience and familiarty of the players, we also now have a chance not be predictable. Coach Oliver was on a good offensive coaching staff at Tulane. If they couldn't do nothing else. They could score. Patrick Ramsey will be the 3rd QB chosen on tomorrow. So I feel like we will use the TE, RB's and different formations this year. Plus Pete is redicated to the run. Orlando abandoned it. On the defensive coaching front, these guys have been together 3 years now and you can tell. They have the "D" playing like the old Dog Day D. Now to the positions and players who will make it happen.

Offense
OL - It starts here in the trenches. We have All-SWAC 1st teamer Gary Jenkins returning with a host of experienced players. We lost very little on the OL. Maybe 2 players total out of the top 7 Lineman from last year. The center spot will be one to watch in the development of the 2 returning guys(Jackson and Saulsby) moving over to play this spot. Look for 6-7 335 Mynia "Manster" Smith to be a force on the OL. Pete will be able to rotate 10-11 guys on OL. Returning Players who were in the rotation are Patrick Tyson, Daniel Leon, Chad Green. This OL didn't give alot of sacks last year. We were third in the least amount of Sacks allowed. And we know Levy was not that mobile. Richard will help OL out with his mobility. The depth is there, so it 's no need for Freshmen to play this year. New OC has OL stressing speed and agility. So even though they are big guys. He has had some lose weight to increase their speed.

TE- We have 3 TE's that can all run , catch and block and the new OC has already put in plays. Since he is a TE type of guy , this position will be one to watch. We threw to the TE one time last year and it was a TD. Rod Jones and Adam Nelson(a workout freak and converted WR) are the ones to watch. Both are fast agile TE's.

WR- This is the strength of the Offense. With Michael Hayes, Kentrell Plain, Al Trevion Joubert, Lionel Joseph, Al Ard, Drayton Bridges, Chris Davis, and Fred Mitchell. We are stocked. All are over 6 feet except Joubert and Ard. All these guys played last year due to injuries. Hayes, Plain, and Joubert are all veterans and have played every year they have been at SU. If Hayes returns to form it's going to be ugly. Joubert is already back to his form. So no Freshmen will even see the field unless Prize recruit James Vernon has fully qualified. I think he was close. Probably just be better off redshirting anyway.

RBs- Our weak spot last year due to injuries and youth. There were some bright spots last year. Carl Singleton #40 had finally emerged. Played well as a Fr against JSU and AAMU until going down that game(ACL). Then he was replaced by Fr. Leroy "Bo" Jackson who won the game for us at FAMU. This kid can play and was highly thought of coming in. He will be ready to go this fall. held out of Spring game for shoulder injury he sustained late in season. Now the troops come. Highly touted RB from NC. Marcus Newman 6-2 220 and fast. Jag fans have been waiting for his debut since we signed him last year. Freshman Rodney Tucker from Plano, Tx had an impressive Spring as did Gerald Holmes, a scatback in the mold of Ryan Lewis. Leon Miller still is a backup in my mind. Not impressed with him. But of course the big news is the transfer of UT's Victor Ike. Now I expect him to contribute. But we'll see if he can move anyone out. We will be deep at Rb. And they will catch the ball in this offense.

QB- Well this is the most critical position.Quincy Richard is a mature kid with athletic ability and has the height. He has a canon arm. He just needs to harness it. He will not underthrow his WRs like past Qbs. Actually he needs to work on over throwing his open WRs. He will benefit from the experience of the Wrs. Now the backup situation can be interesting. Anthony Fisher did a great job against Famu but struggled the rest of the way. He is a gamer, but his arm strength is not there. Kurvis Sharp has made the most noise as a backup and I think he will unseat Fisher. Sharp is a pure athlete with outstanding speed. You already heard about the "Sharp Package" . Thomas Ricks may the most gifted one of them all. He is 6-3 and much bigger than Richard bodywise. Tremendous Athlete as well. Got in Pete's and Orlando's doghouse last year, but new OC has given him a new lease. He is the QB of the future. Highly thought of coming in. We need to stay healthy at this position. QB will not have to win the game, so that should ease the pressure of previous years.

Defense
DL - plenty of Depth. We have some All Staters on the DL. Perry Davis #60 will be all SWAC. Great Freshman year last year. DL is big and fast. We are deep enough to rotate . Look out for Charles Ball, Alex Coleman, Aandre Payton, Glynn Mangum, Arthur Smith, Joshua Davis and Jonathan St. Cyr.

LB- We will miss Chapman, but the rest are back including last year starters Chris Cooper and Jabari Greene. We are deeper at LB than we have been for awhile. Look out for Kenneth Johnson(this kid is awesome, just can't stay healthy) Eddie Green, Kendrick Paul, Lendrick Francois, Trey Calhoun and Sheldon Pearl. Also keep an eye on last year recruits Greg Handy and Daryl Hurst.

Secondary
This is our strength of the defense. Starting corners Lenny Williams(All-SWAC) and Terence Arnold(7 ints 2nd in SWAC 2001) are both back. Williams would lead the SWAC in ints if he can hold on to the ball. Herman Hartman returns at safety, but I expect him to lose his job. But as anybody could see last year our Safeties were weak and had to many blown coverages. Eddie Woods who has played well in nickel package should get his chance to start this year. Also Ole Miss transfer Kevin Moffett and LSU transfer Erin Damond. D'Angelo Lewis and Randy Williams, both All Conference JC transfers from Mississippi a year ago will get their chance too. We also have a load of other kids sitting and waiting that came to SU the last 2 years. This is the deepest position of defense. There is talk of moving Lenny Williams to safety to get all the best Dbs on the field at one time. Codie Smith (one that got burned, but got lucky once and returned one for TD in the BC), Darwon Hammond and Cedric Gross add to the already deep group. The coaches have been quite pleased with this group. Gross may be one to watch. He likes to hit and is fast.

Special Teams
Well thank goodness for Justin Mattingly returning to SU from Texas this semester and he has been impressive. He is reportly very happy and hyped to be back and has been booming punts and kicks. He has all the family issues under control and is happy to be back. Colby Miller is a kid we signed last year that eligible this year and we have another Freshman coming in August. So we will have 3 kickers for a change. This is good news. The return game is solid. Erza Landry almost broke many returns for Tds. He put us in good field position and he held on to the ball to be a little man. If the Freshman J. Vernon qualifies to play this year, he will return as well. This kid averaged crazy return numbers in HS. He is very explosive. But I am not counting on him to play. Victor Ike will probably see time as well.

So GR,
We have depth, players with game experience, kicking game is back and Pete seems to be renewed and this team is mixed with a balanced blend of very experienced players and seasoned youth. All Richard has to do is take care of the ball, nothing fancy. One thing I like about him is. If he if off, He doesn't throw an int. It's an over throw most of time. So he don't turn the ball over. Which was a problem for us last year too. So we have the most returning starters and game experiened players in the West and we get TXSU in BR. So we will be fine. There are still players who were on the 99 team and know what feels like to win(Hayes, Joubert , Plain, Mattingly, and Richard). I look forward to seeing the East rep in the SCG. And we can agree on one thing. The East is stronger than the West. GSU and TxSU will be our only challenge. We have better players than people give us credit for. There are an abundance of All-State players on this team. And these kids love to play for Pete. That's the intangible. Pete teams do not quit. Like Lewis said, We will win ugly some games. So that's my case for SU. Pretty strong I would say.

JR,

You are really not hearing what Im saying. I would really like for someone that is very very objective to interject here and mediate this conversation(not MikeBig this time). Maybe I need to slow down to talk to you too.

Im not saying that Victor Ike should not be your starter.

I know he is the most talented RB on your team, because other than him, you have no real talent. .... Thats apparent. Just because you can name 5 RBs on your team, that doesnt mean they are good....and if they are good, why are they not starting?

But here is my point...........

Why give him the starting position before he ever practices?

Explain this to me:
"Vic is the individual we're trying to press into that spot," Richardson said. "But for the others, it's a personal challenge for them. We're not just going to give it to Victor Ike. He has to earn that."

How did he earn the starting position if he hasnt even practiced with the team yet? What did he do to get the job IF HE HASNT EVEN PRACTICED YET?

Do you understand what Im saying?

According to you:
Freshman Rodney Tucker from Plano, Tx had an impressive Spring as did Gerald Holmes, a scatback in the mold of Ryan Lewis.
If Rodney Tucker had a good spring, why not list him as the starter at least until 2 a days are over? We know Ike is better, but at least be fair to the kids that have sweated, torn their ACLs, and bled for SU.

If I were a parent, this would make me upset. This is just low down.

Let me ask you a question, and I hope you will answer this. Do you really think Ike rightfully earned the position if he was named a starter before practice began?

Dont you think this makes BCF look bad if a 4th string transfer from a white school is named the starter just because he is from a white school? Tarnaka Counslor is all SWAC. Would Pete have named him the starter if he had transfered? I think not.

This is obviously Pete pandering to Division 1 schools for transfers because he cant recruit and everybody knows it. Ive been trying to tell you this for years. Petes motto should be, "if you are 4th string there, you will be a starter here." This is a pathetic display of desparation from a coach whose better days are far behind him. If getting players from the jailhouse and licking the boots of 4th string transfers is the best Pete can do, maybe Pete should move on. I hate to see him slip like this. There is no dignity here.

Let me recap.

Im not saying Ike shouldnt start. Im just saying wait 2 weeks before you announce he is the starter.........its only fair.......thats all Im saying.

GR, why are you sooo concern with the way we do things at Southern. Shouldn't you be mining your own business at Jackson?
We know and has confident in our coaching staff, can you say the same? Now if your preoccupation with Southern is because you're scared, then say you are scared.:eek2:

GR,
If you are going to post what Pete said why didn't you understand this statement.

"Vic is the individual we're trying to press into that spot," Richardson said. "But for the others, it's a personal challenge for them. We're not just going to give it to Victor Ike. He has to earn that."

Ok GR here it is broken down and you can take it how you like.

Tucker had a good spring. He was a redshirt Freshman who walked on. So why would his people be mad. Just glad to be on the team I imagine.

Miller got his chance last year and blew it. You or I would ranked ahead of him on the depth chart, the way he played last year. So he has no one to blame but himself.

Newman was the kid from NC , I talk so highly about on signing day 2001. Well he sat out last year after being signed. Didn't play in the Spr. game

Peoples is the other NC kid that we signed and he had the same issue as Newman. Both were outstanding HS players, but hey they were props. Now it's time for them to play.

Holmes had a good spring, and he is another player that did not play last year. That got a chance show something in the SPR.

Singleton would be listed #1 if he was cleared to play. So the injury kept him out. Just like Mc Laurin he caught a bad break of not being healthy enough to challenge for the position. He will however play this year.

Jackson, well he did it to himself. He could have been #1 too. See him next year. Maybe.

Ike transfers this SPR, by rule he can't practice until now. So you say it is low down to whom? Who can be pissed. It's not like we benched somebody for him or there was a returning player who had proved himself worthy of the starting job outside of Singleton and Jackson and you know the story on them. Ike has the pressure on him just like it should be. He has to put up or shut up. The other guys will play and if they out shine him, well ask Jacoby what happens.

If you ask me its even and fair. Those other rbs if they had qualified could have played last year and maybe Pete tells Ike thanks but no thanks. That's the chance you take as a Prop player. BTW GR, True Freshman Devin Herbert is qualified and is practicing and who knows he may be better than them all soon. But you are not understanding what I am saying. We are deep at RB is all you need to now. Aint no parents upset about Ike. Hell the kid only has one year to play anyway. The rest of these boys all have 3 years left including this one. If the props do like K. Plain did and graduate then they will have 4 years to make noise. Aint nobody getting screwed. I can see if we benched a rising Senior for Ike. SMH.
