Larry Bird or Lebron James?

Hell no. Wade is not the same player from the past and Bosh is overrated. There is no way in hell this team is top three in the East without LeBron.

This team would not win without Bosh or Wade. People always make comments about Bosh being "overrated" but he consistently comes up big in games for them. Wade came up big in a number of games this series.

The Heat plays half the season without Wade...... If Lebron can get to the Finals with Mo Williams being the 2nd best player on the team they could definitely win a title without Wade.

Well we likely won't see it happen that way since Wade is healthy. However, we have definitely seen it happen WITH both those guys making plays.

Exactly Lebron took Anderson Verejo and some other scrubs to the finals as a youngster. Bird always had a squad...

Where is this discussion going? Who started it? Why is anyone comparing Bird and LeBron to begin with?

Marc didn't start it... Skip Bayless did. ..... Marc just stated Lebron was the best at his position... then Skip Bayless brought up Larry Bird and said he would take Bird over Lebron.

That year LeBron and those scrubs beat a championship All-Star packed Detroit Pistons team with Chauncey Billups, Rip Hamilton, Rasheed Wallance, and Tay Prince. In game five of that series LaBron scored like 20+ straight points in the 4th quarter.

Once again, it's a damn insult to LeBron to compare him to Larry Bird. LeBron and Pippen are a better comparison given that their games are very similar. Both could play and have played the point guard to power forward positions. Those two are the best small forwards to ever play the game.

I guess that's an insult to Dr. J huh?

Man did he really say Pippen was the 2nd best SF ever?

I'll give Pippen a pass because he was versatile and had an affect on both ends of the court during his prime. Great help defender and also a great on the ball and off the ball defender too. On the offensive side he can set up the offense as a point forward and can be used in multiple ways in the triangle offense. Let's not forget that he was willing to take 3s in the middle of transition from time to time like LBJ. The only year he could fully showcase his talent was back in 1994 and half of the '95 season.
