`Ladies nights' ruled illegal in New Jersey

TRENTON, N.J. -- The state's top civil rights official has ruled that taverns cannot offer discounts to women on "ladies nights," agreeing with a man who claimed such gender-based promotions discriminated against men.

David R. Gillespie said it was not fair for women to get into the Coastline nightclub for free and receive discounted drinks while men paid a $5 cover charge and full price for drinks.

In his ruling Tuesday, J. Frank Vespa-Papaleo, director of the state Division on Civil Rights, rejected arguments by the nightclub that ladies nights were a legitimate promotion. Commercial interests do not override the "important social policy objective of eradicating discrimination," he ruled.

Gov. James E. McGreevey criticized the decision, calling it "bureaucratic nonsense." "It is an overreaction that reflects a complete lack of common sense and good judgment," McGreevey said.

Take it even further and say children and adults should all pay the same price at the movie theater.
 
This dude has to have a problem getting women. I have joked many a time about the "unfairness" of ladies night. But them broads be in the place deep, and if you love women, then ladies night is a great night to be in the spot. I'd beat his arse if I knew him.

Man this son of a batch probably was probably just mad cuz he was the only fool in New Jersey that couldn't pull a girl on ladies night.

As soon as someone sued because THEY MADE THE DECISION TO SMOKE, political correctness went crazy.

Fat .............. Sue the food joints because "you" MADE THE DECISION TO eat FAST FOOD every meal.

Child not atheletic ............... Sue to get Physical Ed. out of the schools so that "Little Butternutt" self-esteem won't be hurt. (Sound familiar Calli. ....the birthplace of social experiments.)

Now this guy want's his 15 minutes of fame because a woman got in the club and got a free drink and he didn't. He probably did it just to show how crazy things have gotten and DID NOT EVEN EXPECT TO WIN THIS THING.

Oh well ............. Look for all the club's to do what the strip club's did when they first opened here. Say it's a private club. You get your membership by paying admission, and now they are free to do what they want ..........INCLUDING KEEPING PEOPLE OUT THEY DON'T WANT IN. NEW CAN OF WORMS.

I used to love ladies night. I would send honeys to the bar for me all night. My man is just mad 'cause he got no game.
 



Now that he's won .................. WHAT WOMAN IN A CLUB IS GOING TO GIVE HIM PLAY. Ya'll know he will be pointed out as soon as he hit the door. He messed up a FREE NIGHT for them. :bawling:

On a couple Dallas radio stations they had people call in talking about this and most of them (mostly men of course) were thinking that this man was just stupid for even bringing this lawsuit into existence.

I have to piggy back Robber, cuz I've joked many-a-time about there should be a "Fellas Nite" where we get in free and half off drinks, etc. BUT......... come on now... if it weren't for Ladies Nite, most women would be at home on the couch watching reruns of I Love Lucy! And personally, I don't wanna be looking at more hard legs than soft senoritas! :licky:

My two cents...
