Kobe Bryant: I don't take charges

Not that I am trying to make excuses for Kobe (as other will likely accuse me of doing...as if I would give a damn) but given all of the times over the past 16 years that Kobe has come through in clutch moments, he has earned the right to have a cluster fukk every once in a while. I'm still not trippin over this yet.

I said a couple of days ago that at some point those jump shots would not go in for OKC. They didn't last night. The Lake Show had the perfect game plan in place. If they could have hit just a couple of those 3s, the series is tied at a game a each.

The Lakers will NOT lose the next two games at Staples. By the end of Saturday, this series will be tied at 2 games. Count on it!

SOG, I though the second coming of Magic Johnson (Ramone Sessions) would save the Lakers?

You have never heard me call Sessions the second coming of Magic Johnson. I did say during the regular season they we had a servicable point guard, but that was the regular season. Sessions is playing scared right now to me. Too scared to make a mistake. I can think of 2 or 3 times during this series that he drove into the paint only to change his shot at the last second because he was either afraid of being hit or afraid of his shot being blocked.

I will say it again...this series WILL be tied at 2 by Saturday's end.

JR, Soggy and GR was looking like these women when they lost and I was looking like the guy.

To be fair, the Power forwards of the 90's didnt really take charges. They punished you.

Also...if came in the paint with teams from those eras....it was not ANY taking a foul!!! They were going to hang your ass....Bill Lambeer(sp)...come on man!!!

Kobe loss that game last night with the horrible last turnover and several bad shots in the clutch. The last shot of the game taken was the correct one but missed. Kobe had the gall to have a funny look on his face because of that last shot and pass from Peace (I am thinking STFU). I guess any superstar is entitled to having a bad clutch performance though. It just seemed to me though that Kobe last night made too many (multiple) back breaking faux paux(s).......

What point guard wouldn't be afraid to go in the paint with Kendrick Perkins and Serge iBlocka in there?

earned the right???

sorry SOGGY, but no 1 time MVP award winner (snicker) has "earned the right" to screw up a playoff game the way kobe did last night.

Damn! Have you seen the real GOAT (MJ) ever screw up a playoff game that bad? I mean we know Kobe has been clutch many times before. But he has had his share of times when he either just said fugg it I quit or just made bad decisions to go along with the clutch shots. Folks give dude a pass. Someone on ESPN pointed out he aint hit as many game winners as many think he has in the big games. I think Mike and Mike had someone on there with the stats on that. Even I was shocked. I guess perception is a mofo. LOL.

Kobe doesnt get a pass, look at topics like this for example. Kobe is one of the most hated NBA players, no way he gets a pass. He just has the hardware to silence a lot of critics unlike the other players in the league now....

That's the problem with some of you folks. You need people from talk radio stations (who ain't nothing but a bunch of opinion makers themselves) to validate the slanted views that most of you already have. - LOL

First you admit Kobe has been clutch many times before, but then you turn around and say he has made bad decision to go along with clutch shots. All I am saying is that he has been more clutch that not. And because of that, if a monumental F-up occurs like what happen the last night, we know that for Kobe that is atypical. The very fact that we are having this conversation proves my point.

Kobe lost game 2. My point is, and what separates him from LeBron is the fact that at least he was there to mess the game up. He F'd it up trying. At least he doesnt run from the ball and let his team mates lose the game and then have his stupid ass fans point to his stat line and say shit like "look at how many points rebounds and assists he had." I never said he was perfect, I said he is the greatest. He might lose a game for you, but he will turn around an win 100.

so true

But if Kobe had missed those freethrows, As a Kobe/Laker fan I wouldnt be saying
"at least Kobe had 34 points and made shots down the stretch"
Nope, I woulda said Kobe lost that game cause he didnt make those last 2 free throws.
Not LeBron fans, they would have been talking about a shot he made in the 1st quarter.

Remember how we use to hear basketball experts say, "Superstars are superstars because they make the people who play round them better". It is just me or has D.Wade gotten worse since LeBron arrived? Then again, D. Wade hadn't been the same since he started seeing her...
