I don't know bluephi. We have an excellent coach but she has not had a chance to recruit yet. She worked wonders with what she had though. She needs to recruit some shooters. I look for us to be about the same next year as this year but I think after that, the sky is the limit.

I think you are right about that. JSU has played SU tough this year. The next game will be tough for SU as well. How about the women coaches may be better than the men coaches. You have former WNBA coach Taylor at JSU, Sandy Pugh at SU, Ponton at GSU, the Bama State coach and Alcorn's coach.

Yes she did work with a group that came off a terrible season.... I think the women have a great coach....if she gets more talent....man can you see it...

JSU played SU three tough games, giving them all we could handle. This was a good game for SU, they got a scare in the semis will make them be charged up for the finals. Good game JSU.
If JSU returns many starters, they will be a top 4 team again next year. But, I do think Pugh and the coach at JSU understand what they can get out of their players and coach and play the similar styles. I maybe mistaken, but doesn't Bama State have a young team with all their height. SU will lose Wynfield, but that's about all. The Jags will be tough again next year too.

A Good Year for JSU
Coach Taylor was quoted as having been disappointed in what she saw when she first came to JSU and saw her team. But she was committed to bringing a new attitude and effort to JSU Women's basketball.....And she's done that. To take a team that was terrible last year, and make the 2nd round of the SWAC Tourney, and take favorite Southern to wire, only to lose by 2; she worked miracles at JSU this year.
And now she'll be able to recruit and build on her successes. I just hope that we (JSU) can keep her around long enough to grow a 'tradition' in Women's Basketball.
But I'm proud of our Girls, and coach Taylor.....Good Luck next year!!!!!
