JSU signs former State QB

We have 9 transfers; 5 of them are in the secondary!!! :scared:

The question is whether any of them can play. They are moving down for the most part because they could not beat out anyone for playing time. Many of these transfers were no better than our players when they signed with a larger school and probably won't add that much value to the team. Most of the transfers that still think they can play at the major level will attempt to transfer to another major school.

I sure hope JSU is not betting its future on transfers with moderate talent and only a couple of years to play. It would be better to recruit high schoolers and give them time to develop into productive players.

P.S. Emmitt Smith ranks as the NFL's leading rusher and nobody with common sense will say that he was a better ATHLETE than Barry Sanders. So with that stated, ur statement holds no weight.

What has this guy done? Nothing yet. You're guessing at what he MIGHT do and I'm telling you what Oliver has DONE.

I guess the JSU people just like to recycle this self-smack. We heard this before regarding another "talented" qb. I think that qb got lost somewhere and GR had to go looking for him and never found him.

For the record, if these qb are like Vick, they are more hype than talented and Oliver is still your best bet.

TC "Vick" killed AAMU and went on to the NFL.

Also, about our transfers. JSU recruits the best players we can find. We promise no one a starting position. We had transfers sitting on the bench last year and we won't hesitate to do the same this year. Comegy is probably going to cut some people after the spring drills as well. If you ain't a baller, you can't play at JSU!! Comegy makes you earn your money every year. Some of us don't like that but if you want to be on the team, you have to earn your spot and make sure the transfers are backups. We return 16 starters so the competition will be stiff this fall. Also, don't forget that JSU recruited some props last year who also have to compete for PT this fall.

Soon, we should once again be the most talented team in 1-AA.
