Chase I understand but Taylor is 8-5 , and Froneberger is 5-4 with an era of 5.12. Maloy is 4-0 and leads the Swac in ERA. Merritt is 6-1 and is second in the Swac in ERA.

Well they put Richard there. He leads the conference in hitting so I understand the reasoning. Revis is the far superior defender but Richard is the better hitter. SU's Micheal Thomas is the best Catcher in the SWAC.

I don't understand alot of that bull to tell you the truth. Yeah, Mike Thomas is the best catcher.

Thomas...have you seen him hit? His bat was the weakness coming out of high school

second team is fine as a freshman...but shouldn't he have been freshman of the year?

Brandon Revis shouldn't be no where close to second team. SS Reggie Barker from UAPB was left off...Here are their stats from swac.org:

Player avg gp-gs ab r h 2b 3b hr rbi bb hbp so sb-att
BARKER,R. .355 44-44 152 37 54 9 1 0 19 21 9 23 10-14

REVIS,B. .269 36-34 130 32 35 6 0 3 14 17 4 19 5-7

This was the biggest snub...

Defense, my boy. Revis is the better defender.

TSU shouldn't have anybody on that list.

Are you crazy...Our 2nd basement Delvin Sanders, who made second team, had the same amount of errors and out hit B. Revis by plenty. He deserved to be on there and so should Kyle Smith, the freshman of the year. Thomas, shouldn't be on the list either. So what he's the best defensive catcher, he barely hit his weight...

Thomas's hitting is going to come around. He is going to be a very high draft pick. May be a first rounder. Thomas did hit 5 homers.

I agree with you. I definitly wouldn't mind him being on my team based off potential, but as far as being an all conference selection could you see what that would look like in Baseball America? 2nd team catcher BA .240, what the hell does that say about our conference?

Good defense beats good hitting. Baseball isn't all about hitting and offense.
