So a state like MS is going to shell out our allow $120M for an HBCU to build a new stadium because the old one is too big...yet won't approve a new dorm?
Preach! Is a new stadium for JSU, a want or a need?

Quick question ...

If the move is the Metrocenter site, is there a plan to create an economic corridor from the campus to the Metrocenter site, in the mode of Stadium Village near the University of Minnesota?

Honestly y’all keep bringing up metro center mall but that’s not going to happen. Jsu already owns substantial amounts of land across from the fire station on lynch.

Yeah JSU already had the land for a stadium so that's not the issue. Plus this is Mississippi. They will not do ANYTHING that could be a huge benefit to a substantial amount of black Mississippians and an appropriate sized stadium (40-50k) would definitely do that especially at the Metro location. Hell they won't even help with the $1-$2 billion needed to upgrade the water pipes in a city they work in

Having that land is one thing, but the parking. Whew, that's a lot of parking on gameday. That's why people keep bringing up the Metrocenter site. Unless they looking at doing a parking garage, parking will be a hassle over there.

The metro center would be perfect for the new stadium. Look, I understand that it's not on-campus. But, the area is filled with potential.

I have passed by the Metro, a number of times and the area would be perfect for a new stadium.
