Because they have a better women's program than we do, plus they got folks graduated, so she will get immediate playing time right next to GSC POTY Jennifer Rushing

It sure would have been great to see Valley sign her. I'm sure the HC received plenty of calls from pizzed off alums.

I bet she didn't. They just wanna see her play.

I saw Serita play in the 4A championship game against Brookhaven. That girl is a floor GENERAL. My first time seeing them play and I was screaming throw the ball to #10 (I think). Didn't know her name. Didn't know she was a Dandy Dozen. Didn't know she'd wind up Miss Basketball. But I saw a PLAYER on that court.

dude shut the hell up, Valley was never in the running. It was USM, State, and Delta State.

USM over JSU is better than DSU over JSU...but I forgot, ya'll smaller than DSU and they are your daddy. Wait until we see them in Memorial!! We gonna show you how to beat a lowly D2....oh, like we beat ya'll.

Also, USM may have got R.L. but we got a better player who is the topic of the thread. WE ARE.....

yeah we have a great basketball player in Chris Davis returning. We also found our Defforrest replacement in Jamar Flowers. He had to sit out at Pearl after messing up his ankle, and he averaged 9.9 points per game but in high school 24 points and 12 rebounds. Joe Jack was also having a good season and he returns.

You right.......................Valley was never a choice for her.
The only reason she chose Delta State was because the Ms. State coach told her she would see limited playing time and USM was too far from her home for her family to see her play.

Delta State offered her immediate playing time 20 miles from her home.:nod:

Dixon is just an great athlete! Nevertheless, he found more pleasure in playing safety than wide receiver although he did everything but pass out water! The kid is a special athlete and will help the tiger tremendously. BTW, the kid started in the 8th grade also as a pitch in baseball for the varsity team.....:rolleyes:

.......and valley couldn't offer her the same. Seems like valley's confidence is so low, they didn't even try to make a play for her.
Why couldn't valley promise her a starting spot in Div. 1-AA basketball where she'd at least be playing against major universities in out of conference play, that way she'd get more publicity by the WNBA league?
Interesting move on her part to choose a D-2 school.

EVERY BLACK PERSON DON'T HAVE ASPERATION'S NOR OBLIGATION TO ATTEND A HBCU.

There are actually some people that WANT to go other places.
Valley could have promised her a bedroom in the President's house as her dorm room.

If she don't won't to go there, there is nothing Valley nor YOU could do to change her mind.

just ask Nate....he'll tell you the honest truth....one thing about him, he won't let any locals get out unless there's a legitimate reason.....he learned from Shirley Walker and Stribling on how to protect the backyard....

obviously, other factors would influence you to sign D2....

it happens all the time in Houston...3 to 5 girls from Houston Baptist's program could play SWAC but the mommas don't see it like that...

Only a few of them were ignorant and some gave credit about trey johnson. Illinois has been some what of a power house in the big ten for the past 8 years. Check the records. Bill self just bounce on us and ole bruce cant get the best players.
