The Jackson State men's basketball team announced the signing of two more players on Monday - Opelika (Ala.) High School's Brandon Baker and Jerome Davis.
Baker, a 7-foot center, averaged 8 points, 8 rebounds and 5.6 blocked shots per game for Opelika, which finished 28-2 and made it to the 6A South Regional in Alabama's largest basketball classification

Believe us......................We seeing a big difference in recruiting because of it.
Kid's actually got shat to compare when they visit us and other school's they are considering now.
A revamped campus geared toward's student life/studies with more degreed programs and taking that chance to upgrade sports facilities across the board is paying off for us now...............5 short years after we started. :nod:

All of us got too these day's.
You can't just say "We a HBCU and there will be thousands of black student's just like you here".
That's a big plus for us but most already know that...................They live like that everyday in their neighborhoods.
Kid's are looking at everything when they make their choices now.
Not getting off the subject, but this is what I was saying when everybody was on that "Move up to 1-A trip".
It takes more than a full stadium to do that right.
All of us got too these day's.

You just said a lot. We have to improve in all sports not just football. Basketball is doing great things and I know for fact people are going to be in for a rude awaking with what baseball is bringing in for next year. We are stepping up as a dept not just as a sport.

I went to that JSU Blue and White Gala for the Campaign for JSU: $50 million dollar fundraiser (We've already raised nearly 50% and it just started a year ago) and left impressed with it. There are some big things in store. I am pleased from both the athletic standpoint and academic standpoint. Dreams are about to become realities around there.

I never stated that TA should be fired however, "whenever" TA steps down Billups should at "least" get an interview. Having said that, TA has set a high expectation and he shouldn't have any problems in the SWAC. It looks good on paper but they must win.
