You do know that's Maxine Waters district? And her husband Sidney Williams is a Southern University Grad and former SU and NFL football player. Not to mention a former US Ambassador for Bill Clinton. LOL.

I don't think my frat know how many Southernites are in Los Angeles and Cali in general. The Los Angeles SU Alumni Chapter was founded in the 1940s. L.A. and Oakland are full of LA and MS folks. But I think it may be more LA folks in Cali than SIP folks. I know a lot of old school SU Engineers had to go to L.A. to get Engineering jobs. So we got a contingent of generational Jags. We had a lot of Cali students on the yard with me.

So that's the dude the democrats were trying file ethics charges against Maxine Waters...accusing her of working an inside deal to help get his bank or something?

Yep my wife worked out in LA at Raytheon for a year before coming back to TX so I know. Tons of SU alums out there.

You do know the House Ethics committee cleared her. They were not after him anyway. They wanted her and said her relatives benefited from them being on the Bank Board. You know kind of how they went after Maynard Jackson and Andrew Young for the Airport Contracts saying they hooked their folks(BLACKs) up with contracts. The White Boys hate when we know how to play the game. But they could not catch her like they did some folks.

All it was is a witch hunt. Them white boys hook their peeps up all the time. Hell Jeb Bush's son was sent to Texas from Florida to learn from Granddaddy Bush and Uncle W to prepare for politics and is now running for Texas Land Commish which is a powerful position in Texas. You think he ain't got the hookup/backdoor info from the good ole boys.

Yep...that's why I said accused. They did the same thing to Charlie Rangel...and Obama tried to get Rangel to resign...O sold him out.

The real deal was that they are senior congress folks which meant they were in line to be the chairman/woman of powerful committees. So they would get to decide what bills go to floor or not. Rangel was the chair of the Ways and Means committee I believe...tax rules. Old Barney Frank was doing Maxine in...I believe.

Yep...Me and my line brothers campaigned for her when she first ran for congress in 1990. There's probably more SU graduates in Los Angeles then any of the HBCUs. Grambling is probably next. There's a ton of us working for the City of Los Angeles. jSU is barely on the radar in Los Angeles. I know for a fact Prairie View and Langston have more graduates in Los Angeles then jSU. Howard and Morehouse has a respectable number of graduates out there.

Los Angeles S.U. Alumni Chapter is probably the largest alumni chapter outside of Louisiana and Texas.

My late great aunt was one of the founders of the Los Angeles SU Alumni Chapter. California has more Louisiana and Texas folks. While Mississippi folks migrated to the Midwest, Louisiana and Texas folks migrated west.

Also, some of the chartered members of my Que Chapter came from Beta Sigma, the Southern University Que Chapter. I believe most or all the chartered members of the Inglewood Que Chapter came from Beta Sigma. Most of those chapters were founded in the early 60's. Even Johnny Cochran has roots to Southern. Mayor Bradley was from Texas. And there are a few rich SU graduates that's in real estate.
