JROCK Let's Talk About GSU and JSU

Since SU season is over I think we could engage in a little smack about GSU and JSU. I cannot smack GSU too hard because they did beat Bama South for us. But first what does your football future look like over the next five years? Do you think your new AD understand the history of SU Football or he want to make you into a LSU like JSU President tried to do with JSU. I believe there is a lessen learned by just watching what happened to JSU. GSU will hit rock bottom next year because the best Qb in the conference will be gone. SU has to play GSU in the BC, which will be just another game because the BC is not the same in Houston. There are so many things that we can discuss about JSU and GSU I hope you can pick something out that is interesting to those who may want to also join the discussion.

If you do well in this discussion, you may be asked to do an Editorial for the Maroon and White Papers.

Cant wait to hear the conversation between these two:

This will be about as informative as "A Lizard to Start With"

recycled smack...........looks like bell and ready about to shake hands though.

The thing that differentiates The SUperior One from lowly programs like JSU is that we don't allow outsiders run our institution. S.U. Board of Supervisors is riddled with Southernites from each congressional district in the great state of Louisiana. It all goes back to that separation of powers, check and balance thing we were discussing in the round table. If Rooster Culberson was AD at S.U. he would have been thrown out with Dumbbell and last week's garbage. If a Southernite would have been caught shaking the hands of a loser like dumbbell he would have been excommunicated from the Jaguar Nation.

I can't say too much about *ram because Southernites have laid hands on our rural child. Just remember the fruit does not fall far from the tree. Hence, *ram will always have flashes of brilliance. It is just in their country blood (the country blood comes from their mother's (Skeege) side of the family.

P.S. I have taken a sabbatical from JROCK'S Pic Em and Blue and Gold Paper. I am not currently interested in guess editorials.

When did Greg LaFleur graduate from SU? You know dayum well that your Board is political appointees who owe their allegiance to the Governor of the State. There are some who are diehard jaguars, but your Board Presidents have in the past been undergrads of McNeese, ULL, and other schools that compete with SU for students and resources. Just like George Belton who made Pete's azz sign to play McNeese. Don't forget that your just recently resigned president was appointed at the behest of his brother...I guess that on-line PhD he had was more impressive that the degree Delores Spikes (One of the Best presidents in the history of the entire State) had...especially since she wouldn't play kiss azz like the rest of those so-called folk in charge on the Bluff. :emlaugh:

You sound like a dumb JSU grad. No where in my post did I say others were not on the board. But it is no big secret that Southernites control it as we do Louisiana black caucus. You have so many lies in your post until your nose should be longer than I-10. You ain't got to lie to kick it.

:lmao:

JROCK, if MB is half correct maybe you all should monitor Greg's moves a little closer. I would suggest that Diesel be informed on what Mike Bigg has stated, because he is the one person that can get things done in the boot. But political appointees running a football program is jus too much to bear. I guess when SU lost homecoming some people in high places were threaten. I believe you all lost Greg's first homecoming and that is worst than your former AD hiring Bama Basketball Coach.

Whatever you do as you respond to these comments, don't let Get Ready get you upset.

But I didn't know that GSU is like a sub-contractor to SU. I put it in those terms because I understand contracting a little more than how Presidents and Deans work running a university.

We don't have half truths in Louisiana but I understand that you people in Alabama do things a little different. Greg is the son of Southernites which gives him the correct pedigree. The last name was a dead give away. But since big brother sits on the BOS, if he has a lapse in judgement ( very unlikely with his Jag blood and all ) he will be helped. Don't read too much into the homecoming. This has been a strange year for South Louisiana. Baton Rouge was founded on the bluff. Therefore Southern U. is the real heart throb of Louisiana. Louisiana has outlast:
1) The French
2) The British
3) The Spanish
4) The French Again
5) Huey P. Long

Since S.U. is the heart throb of Louisiana we will outlast 2005 homecoming.

All that SU pedigree and he STILL went to LSU????!!!!! Oh well, if that's how yall do it then that's yall's bizness. So was he hired due to being an LSU grad or is it because his brother is on the BOS? Isn't that nepotism? Is his brother darkskinned like him...if so that's progress (lol)

It appears that old Double E still has influence in LA politics and you all cannot shake him. JEOCK, you have been around here for a long time and you may recall a poster name Earle. Well Earle and I had a few disagreement about budgets. He stated that SU had the largest budget in the SWAC, well I tried to tell him we didn't have a budget, we just spend money. The reason for that if we need lights or practice field, we don't have to hear things like it is not in the budget. Maybe if you all get rid of the budget, you may be able to make a quick recovery. You see over in Jackson they learned this year that PVAM was not the only ones who didn't give scholarships. I wish TP would call Hughes and tell him that he is sorry for all the misstaments he made the past two years.

The son one day reaches puberty and inevitably will test the boundaries of his father. You are too obsessed with the color line thing. Willie Lynch should not be your hero and his spirit should not be perpetuated by what W.E.B. dubbed the talented tenth. If you are not a dumb JSU grad and really are a *ramblinite, you must be a freak of nature. Southern U. has what is known as a distinctive competency in the business world. The African American higher education market in Louisiana has the deepest penetration by the Southern University System. Nationally degree penetration is deep among African Americans and in the third position. The questions you pose reminds me of a Johnny come home lately that would love to duplicate The SUperior One's core competencies and become a formidable competitor. By utilizing the economies of scales in higher education for a century and a quarter, we have been able to take intellectual prowess to an entire different level. Don't try to decipher the aforementioned or major in minor things. Anywho, :lol:know that power within can control that negative and confused thought process. Don't let anyone tell you that those demons can't be controlled. They arrived when your resistance level was low after yet another Bayou Classic beatdown.

:lmao:

Because of the Southern University brand, AAMU out spending us is inconsequential. As I alluded to in my earlier post the economies of scale principle is in full effect. What this means is that it cost you more to keep up with the program that set the standards that all SWAC foes are measured. It is also the intangible that continously make you all spend more. BTW, don't ask *ram about intellectual property. That would be like asking Tigerpride if Bell was a good coach.

I told him once before that he don't have to lie to kick it. But unfortunately it is an addictive disease and he is a junkie. He can't help it. I don't think the alcoholic anonymous prayer will help because he is not willing to help himself. It is up to the individual to have the desire to beat these addictive diseases.

:lmao:

( or maybe he took "big brother" from my post in a literal since as opposed to figuratively.........the boy has JSU material written all over him )

I have to go and load the Bus for tonight.

Have fun and watch out for those tomahawks. The Braves will be trying to scalp. I hear that firewater to them is like what cryptonite is to superman. You may want to pull a Jim Jones on them.

It is hard to win on the reservation, must be the ghost of Redcloud hanging around. Last time we were there I took some pictures of the Buzzards.
