JR Ima say this and I hope you don't get mad and if you do too bad. YOU STUPID. Bell sucked ...LyvoniaMitchell sucks worser. Both coaches made a bunch of public mistakes when they first got to the SWAC. LyvoniaMitchell said he was going 12-0 one year ...then he got on the radio and acted like a FN cheerleader for the JSU game and lost his mind. No respectable coach does that. Another factor you are forgetting is that SU is LyvoniaMitchells second head coaching job. He should know how to get a damn play in before 10 are left on the play clock.

I don't understand why you think they are so different. Both offenses suck both defenses suck both have won the same amount of games. Bell always had excellent special teams and his teams were discipline. Y'all can't kick a field goal, can't cover a kick, get 15 penalties a game, and y'all want to fight after every loss. This mess about LyvoniaMitchell can get a job is republican type diversions. Who cares if his friend will give him a job after he fails again. Hell he didn't want to be at SU in the first place. If Holgren or Shanahan would have given him a job in 2010 after he begged them on his hands and knees he would be in the NFL.

I just don't see where you guys think he is so much better than Bell ...he is not. But if you like him God bless. Sheeeesh

I am sorry GR, Gotta disagree. Pete left Stump with very little talent and APR restrictions and budget constraints. bell inherited Robert Kent with an offense that led the nation. Even you can't argue that. Stump did act like a cheerleader, but bell straight up call yall dumb to yall face, amd meant it to, then wanted yall to support him. Stump has yet to match bell's performance against ala state in his last year.

Sorry bell got this on lock.

Do you honestly think he's going to give a potential employer true references of where he previously worked? I bet when they checked his reference at JSU, the person on the other end of the phone wasn't employed by JSU, which was probably the same okie-doke he used on a particular D1 program in Mississippi when they hired him. I know this dude in Louisiana tells people he is an engineer, but somehow he has never produced a record of his degree or license.

All they have to do is google James Bell former coach of JSU and they will find out all they need to know.

Didn't someone on here once say that James Bell was the best coach in the SWAC and someone provided a video showing the person saying that? :smh:

Yes, Bell told Jsu fans that they were Dumb and he is running that damn football and don't care what's in front of his team. :emlaugh: I am not sure when the Blue Bengal Organization determined that an evil spirit was among the Jsu faithful (before or after the first game). :emlaugh: Then #1 Jsu TSPN poster had the unmitigated gall to go public and say "this man had been somewhere and done somethings and would be an excellent coach" before any kind of due diligence. :emlaugh: Finally, the #1 Jsu TSPN poster and #2 Jsu poster (those numbers could be transposed) get in the largest newspaper in the state of Mississippi and battle one another over the merits of the Dumbbell Error. :emlaugh: The Bell Error along with the running clock will live in infamy and SWAC folklore infinitely. :emlaugh: Jsu single handily placed AAMU in SWAC legend. :emlaugh:

Aiight Lewis. Lets see what you have to say after this year.

Dont know what you mean about BamaState, but hasnt TexasSouthern been manhandling yall for the last 2 years? Didnt SU lose a 16 point lead to FAMU in the 4th quarter last year? Wasnt that a game that any normal/average coach would have won?

Im sure you mean the PineBluff game but, hasnt Stump already had his PineBluff when he got 83 points scored on him by FAMU?

I know you are excited about your school and you hope and wish things turn out well, but it aint gonna happen Lewis. Lyvonia is a bonifide idiot and he has no idea how to help the situation. The bad part is, HE DOESNT KNOW THAT HE DOESNT KNOW. He keeps doing the same thing hoping things will change. Perhaps if he stepped back away from the team, hired an OC and a DC and let them do their job, and just started and stopped practice on time, yall might be a better team. But Lyvonia is too smart to know how dumb he is.

I know you wont be here after yall start 1-3 or 0-4, but when that happens Im sure you will blame Isaac.

I never understood why the transition to HC for James didn't and doesn't happen positively. I've known him for a while and kinda' sorta' worked alongside of him for a few during his stint @ UNT@DC. I can only speak on what I know and what I saw. As a DC and asst coach under Simon, he made it happen positively for UNT. He helped transition a former SLC avg doormat squad into an FCS power almost overnight. Helped lay the groundwork for SUCCESSFUL transition from former I-aa (now fcs) to then I-A (current FBS). Even those subsequent 3-yr NO Bowl runs UNT had was due to players he helped recruit :read:. Helped lay the foundation for marketing/strategizing the now realized new stadium that UNT enjoys just across from the main campus (that land didn't belong to UNT @ that time - we-all of us who were co-owners of that property just across from it where the parking lot north is located gave it up @ a hefty price :read: ). Also, he helped ensure that the retention rate for UNT fball players (esp def guys) was shored up - that's where folx such as myself came in and helped tutor, track, and advise :read:. W/ all those successes both he and Roy enjoyed, there was something going on that I'd rather not get into that I think caused them to be unsuccessful. Was and is James HC material? I'm not sure. It's not my job to say one way or another. However, I will say this, if one has broken bread in my home, ate off my plates, my food, my drink, and became someone that I would call a good friend, I must defend his honor, as I'd expect he and Roy would do likewise for me.

I think JState could've had something really, really intriguing in terms of growth from former i-aa to I-A if they could've implemented what I witnessed w/ UNT. What I find strange is witnessing the current collection of coaches in the swac and how "stagnant" their resumes' are and how some are so quick to defend them when their football team has not advanced in competitivity or $$$$$$ being garnered. Their resume' reads "hbcu and I did nothing other than that." How impressive is that to Univ of Louisville? lol :read:

Note to self:
Hope and pray that Bell never ever becomes the head coach at a school 45 miles WNW of Houston. Hope and pray that he never ever becomes a head coach in the Peach State. He is not needed there either.

heish is FN horrible.

Uh GR, Stump did hire an OC and DC. Thanks that former idiot AD, we didn't get the man's paperwork done the same Spring he was looking for hoes in Houston. Stump has given the other offensive coaches carte blanche to draw up the plays. So they have their input and he will call what they have already scripted out with their input this season. He is not acting like a dictator. Since he was not a popular hire, he has had to face way more roadblocks than Bell. Bell straight up disrespected JSU. Showed up not knowing anything about your school. At least Stump didn't come in with I am better than you SU mofos attitude. Now he probably did think it would be easy and he found out the hard way. He didn't know how bad Dean Pete had allowed the program to fall. And for the same isht you accuse Stump of doing in games, happened in Pete's last years. We couldn't get folks on and off the field on time. We burned timeouts like they were giving them to us for free. One of those losses to TxSU was even more embarrassing than the ones Stump has lost to them. Pete had the game won and didn't remember how many time outs he had. And this was with VETERAN COACHES. Pete, Orlando and Graves all standing there. At least Stump lost to Crooked Coles Championship team and last year we were just not in that game from the outset. As for the FAMU game. It was not coaching that lost that game. The kids got besides themselves and thought they had it won. Dropped balls that would have extended drives and salted the game away. Stump actually called a pretty decent game. That was a TEAM loss and they knew it afterwards. I can blame Stump for a lot of stuff. But some of the things you slam him for already was happening before he got there. I guess you were not paying attention the last few years. If it wasn't for BLee and JStew and few others pulling some games out their arse to win. We don't even win 6 games. Still can remember the players running onto the field in Pine Bluff. That game cost us a shot at the SCG going into Classic. That was Pete lead team not Stump. I remember the game in Nashville against Tn State. Another we gave away. So all this didn't start with Stump. Bottom line is, this is his team in 2012. He will not have any excuses to not win at least 7 games this season. So this is when he should be judged on his coaching at SU, not what he did at Morgan or anywhere else. This is the season he either shows he belongs or he doesn't. Simple as that. But one thing for sure. He has definitely worked some wonders with what he was dealt with. Even his homeboy as Pop33 calls him didn't even help him out. Just face it GR. Bell was sad as hell. I could have coached that JSU team to more wins than he did with Robert Kent and company returning. LOL.

Dude...I aint even reading all that. You got it...you win. Im done.
Much happiness. How do you defend someone who has the same record as Bell?
The guy was a horrible coach BEFORE he got to SU.
Im thru...done chu'ch

Has Bell ever used you as a reference on his resume? Because all that sh!t you typed would make anyone believe that Bell was the creator of football.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh... you mean UNT. The same UNT that has and will run circles around your school and my school academically and athletically. Right?
I wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't a part of his resume'. Can't deny that success, now can we? :emlaugh:

"Go Mean GREEN!!!!" Kicking SWAC schools' (plural) asses over the last 10 years ad nauseum. lol Now THAT is funny. lol  :emlaugh: lol

Damn you are good. Bell should never be jobless. I need a raise and a promotion, but it's going to require a few references. How bout breaking bread one day.

Y'all hear that JSU. P88 says y'all don't know sh!t about football.

Granted, PV did not win all of its games last year, but I wonder when did Bell win more than five games in a season as head coach.

You are right, I meant Pine Bluff. I am not really commenting on how great or not great Stump is or isn't. Really, that is not the issue, mine is bell was the worst. bell is very intelligent, but it takes way more than that to win. His arrogance and stubborness gives him the record. bell could have let Robert Kent draw plays in the sand like he was Bruce Eugene and JSU would have won. To take the ball out of his hands, was all-time dumb. Even Stump can't top that one. Stump started out trying to run the ball down everyone's throat, but by mid-season he changed. but ya boy bell. Sorry.

Sidenote: I am thinking about coming to Memphis to see Jackson State kick Tenn St. to sleep.

lol I thought James said that. This must be one of those black boy moments I'm not quite comprehending. lol :emlaugh:

some people can't work at an HBCU...the PWC schools almost dumb down some folks to where they don't know how to face adversity...but I bet an HBCU coach can work there easily but these schools are scared to allow them to do do...can the average coach know how to deal with financial aid, housing, police and parents at the same time?

how many blacks have PWCs overpaid to stay on their staffs to the point where anywhere they leave is a step down? Mack Brown has took several young brothas, paid them well, even demoted them but their hunger isn't there anymore to take on challenges

And one more thing....Kent was injured most if his senior year with a bad turf toe that never healed. By the AnnieMae game he was virtually on crutches. So the "Bell had Kent " notion ain't that accurate. Both were bad coaches BOTH were arrogant both thought it was going to be easier than it turned out to be. I don't understand how 6 wins for LyvoniaMitchell is more than 6 wins for Bell.

JR

I wish you could give me a logical explanation of how LyvoniaMitchell who has never won 7 games before in his life is now all if a sudden going to win 7 games. I can add up 4 complete seasons of wins and not get 7 wins. The guy just doesn't have it in him. He's a loser...been a loser all his life and it ain't about to change now.

But I guess if you SU folks feel you have Bell to point and laugh at you can make yourself feel better about your situation. In the end it really doesn't help.

lol I thought James said that. This must be one of those black boy moments I'm not quite comprehending. lol :emlaugh:

My bad man, but after reading all your accolades for Bell, it really seems like you know Bell better than he knows himself. For a while there, I've could have sworn P88 and Bell was like the same individual. But from a white boy's point, are you saying you don't agree to something your Ole Buddy Bell once said?
