And y'all were making all that and wouldn't give Alcorn a cut. I don't blame them for moving there home game back to Lorman.

The modest success that Smiley has had over his career as been as an assistant coach. I think he is good at managing things OFF the field and he is not afraid to ask for money. It might make a decent AD for somebody but I really hope that NO ONE gives him another HC gig again.

I'm glad they did.

Now JSU don't have to split jack with them. Now when there are 40,000 plus in Memorial the 3rd weekend of November, all that money is ours. Parking, Concession, tailgating, tickets. And just like them, if we choose, (won't though), we can set the ticket price for anything we want. :lol:

Unlike ya'll, where the world would end if ya'll moved a game, it don't matter where the Alcorn/JSU game is played. People are going to come TO THE GAME, NOT THE PARTIES, pack in, and have a good time.

Not true.
The average football fan only takes one game to know that he got to get the he!! outta here. It only took the 1st game of his JSU carear for us to understand.

Two running backs.
Two season ending broken bone injuries against Northwestern Louisana in 2003. One with a broke arm and the other with a broke something. Damm near back to back plays. :smh:

It's these clueless administrators that hire him that are dumb as he!!. :lol:

St. James has a new football coach.

SportsNola.com has learned that the Wildcats and the parish school board have named former Jackson State and Taylor University head coach James Bell as its new head coach, succeeding the highly-successful Rick Gaille.

Bell served three years at Jackson State, going 8-26 overall before being dismissed in 2005. He also was head coach at Taylor (Ind.) University in 2006-07, going 3-18 in two seasons before resigning his position. Most recently, Bell served as the head football coach and athletic director at Drew Central High School in Monticello, Arkansas.

He also served as an assistant coach at Indiana, Wake :saw:

It's ironic that Pete Richardson's first game (1993) was in the Super Dome against NWST. Everyone knew he was the right coach after that game. That was something to see!

Nah Frat. Bell would have been killed at Dallas Carter. He was coach of this school in Houston named Chavez. LOL. His coaching stints were at Wake Forest and Indiana. Not exactly powerhouses. I think he was on the staff under former Colts Coach Jim Caldwell when he was at Wake. You see how they did ole Jim in Indy. Bell can keep getting some nice paying jobs. But you notice, aint none of those FBS or even FCS level schools let him come coach as an assistant. He seems to only fool the folks who are in HS level or some small private college somewhere. If he was any good, he would get hired as an assistant on the FBS or FCS level. Look at Ron Cooper who kept getting FBS jobs after coaching at AAMU. Even Charlie Coe got a NFL job for minute after leaving Bama State. Folks be talking about ole Stump. Dude will have a job in the NFL as soon as SU would not renew his deal at the end of the season if it comes to that. Bell can only fool people who are lower than FCS level right now. LOL.

James Bell inherited a 7-4 Robert Hughes-led team and posted 2, 4 and 2 win seasons in 3 consecutive years. He also inherited decent talent. Stump inherited a 6-5 Pete Richardson-led team and has posted a 2 win season and a 4 win season in his two years there. I'm not trying to s*it on the Jags but when Stump arrived the cupboard was bare. There was no talent there.

I dont know how anyone (at least anyone that's serious) could argue that Bell is better. Stump inherited a mess when he got to SU and while he hasn't set the world on fire if he can manage more than 4 wins this season he will best Bell's 8 wins as JSU's head coach.

That's why you hire a special teams coach. You put everything on Stump. His coaches need to do their job too. So do the players. I tell you what. Bell can't get a job unless it is a private college or HS level. He can't even get an assistant job at the D2 or D3 level. Stump will be back on a NFL sideline as soon as he is done at SU if we get rid of him. Dude has better personal and communication skills than Bell. Bell has that I think I am better than you attitude. Probably why no one will hire him as an assistant on any level. Stump would have won with the JSU talent that Bell inherited. Bell screwed up a team that had returning players who were good. He had Kent and Torrey Ross coming back. Hughes did not leave Bell that empty handed. Bell just was stubborn. Even Stump got that much sense to throw the ball on third down instead of running it on third and long. SMH. You must have forgotten just how bad Bell was. Hell in 04 that JSU team was so disorganized that even the warmups at the SUperdome looked out of sorts. I remember telling DNice, this mofos can't even warmup right and look confused in pregame walk through. It was no wonder Pete dropped 45 on him like that. LOL.

Frat, Get Ready is delusional. Aint no way Bell better than Stump. Stump may have his faults. But he aint no where near as bad as Bell. Bell teams had quit on him. Stump don't have those issues with players. Bell told JSU fans 99% of yall don't know football. Who does that? That is much worse than Stump saying SU would go undefeated. At least he didn't tell the Jag Nation yall some dumb arse fans who know nothing about football. Stump has taken the criticism with stride and still went out of his way to appease the SU folks. Bell was like fugg yall mofos. The sad thing was, he wasn't any position to say that. You see he hasn't gotten a job no where near the level of job he had at JSU. Stump can go back to the NFL if he wants. He got way more job security than Bell did. That just shows you how crazy Bell was to be saying isht to the JSU fan base. Fool you aint going to get any better job than this. At least Stump can say I can go be RB coach for more money than coaching at SU if we let him go. Stump got way more cred than Bell. Even with less wins as a Head Coach. LOL.
