Jacksonville didn't drive down the field on us all night. You read the paper and I'm sure you saw what Unknown said. We can't play the refs and the football team at the same time.

I know the field position wasn't in your favor, but damn ?!?! 55 points ?? Southern Miss is alright but you're performance made them look like there in the Top 5 in the nation.

Mike, the former big three was exposed this year. Neither one will play in the SCG in December.

I have not said much on the subject, but I have read every written word. The former big three are blowing smoke. What happened to those 300 lbs OLs Hughes mentioned in B'ham?

I hope SUks and Jsuks have something left when we dispose of GSuks.

3-10 is going to get two coaches fired.
 
This may be on the SMACK board, but it aint SMACK!!! I will not read ish into the Gram & JSU lost. I am sure of this.....Everyone in the SWAC better bring it because your SUperior is ready for prime time. AAMU, I think JAX is in the top 20 this week. Maybe you did lose to a quality team. Only time will tell. I did not see JSU or Gram play this week. From what I read JSU had series special team woes (correctable). I am not to suprised at the Gram game (like it not rebuilding) McNeese is ranked #6 in the country today. The only thing that is clear to me at this point is S.U. has a good team on both sides of the ball and will be in the hunt. Take it for what it is worth. The SWAC officials called a fair game in New Orleans this weekend. Maybe the crew was better that the one that called AAMU's game. One thing is certain, if you dont play for 4 quarters you will not win the SWAC. While I dont know what is brewing is Normal, I would strongly suggest that you dont count JSU or Gram out of the hunt. I dont mind if all of you sleep on S.U. To the SWAC......One Love.....Peace

JSU did not lose isht at USM. I love starting the schedule out of conference and up a knotch. Gets you going early. Just like the days when we would start off agains Stephen F. Austin, we'd lose, but we'd when the SWAC that same year. Same thing this year. Cut it how you wanna, but the road to Birmingham come via 1400 Lynch Street.

Now considering I am a big JSU fan, but I am an alum of ASU and USM....I must admit USM did get in that ass....rofl. However, I will concur with the rest of the black people who attended that game that we think USM slipped JSU a little extra change. We knew damn well USM was not gonna let JSU come in their house and beat them. It was more than just USM v. JSU...it was white v. black and SWAC v. Conference USA. USM had a rep to uphold. They might get beat by another other white school BUT THEY WERE NOT GONNA LET A BLACK SCHOOL COME BEAT THEM. It's all about appearances fellas.

I was like now I know Kent plays better than that. Cause after the first half, it was like where was JSU's defense. Man, I think JSU got paid off because I went to most of all of their games even when I was at Alcorn and that playing on the field didn't not belong to JSU. I didn't know what that was. But it was all good, because the BOOM still got off and the after parties were just SICK.


Besides every black school that went against a white school last weekend got the smack down on their asses....GRAMBLING AND MCNEESE...lawd have mercy and SOUTHERN AND TULANE...well, we won't even go there.

So, it's all good. Those white boys dug in all our asses...lol Alcorn was the only smart school to open up against a black school and they won theirs...lol White v. Black schools is nothing but a money game for the white schools.
 
What is this black school/white school mess? In case you didn't notice, USMs only white starter was the QB. So, as far as I'm concerned, it was one "black" school against another "black" school...

We ain't sked of the massa no mo'...:rolleyes:
 



Trust me...I noticed that

USM has been a white school with a black front for a longgggg time. It has nothing to do with who is running the ball, it has to do with who is running the school. For the past 3 or 4 years, USM has had black student body presidents, black homecoming queens and black athletic squads and if you still think the black people on that campus have a real voice...then you are sadly mistaken....lol Take it from someone who has had to work with those folks to beg and get the same rules for black greeks in Bennett Auditorium for stepshows that the white greeks have for Bennett for "Derby Days".
Everything is not a white/black issue, true enough, but you sit there with your eyes closed if you want to and you will be walking abour that campus with your EYES WIDE SHUT.
 
I'm no rookie, so I know ALL about politics...but my point was the same athletes they have, we have. I know that the predominance of the "white" institution is a more powerful invisible force and no I do not have my eyes shut. Just making a point about how OUR athletes and OUR scholars make their schools what they are. When will we ever learn...
 
Ok, I mean no offense. But that wasn't the point you made in your first response. So, I was just checking. Now you are referring to our athletes and scholars and that is definitely not what you were talking in the first response. It's all good. I feel what you are saying, but just wanted to make you knew the real about the whole deal.
 
Maybe that wasn't the point you took, but that was the point I made...black athletes make white schools teams what they are, and of course I added my sarcasm...I think that's what I said originally.

I am a product of a historically black university (JSU) and an MBA candidate at a predominately white institution at the present. Believe me, I know the REAL deal.
