I could hear you on that short field stuff if you said that you held them for 2 downs and they scored, but is that what happened? If they could run the ball out of the stadium through the endzone, they would have. Yall just talked all that crap about how you was gonna beat these guys and didn't do isht!

Like I said before, you were lucky to even score and that's the truth. Can you tell the truth? The truth is that you thought a Dumb Head Coach and a Dumb Ex-Head Coach Defensive Coordinator that doesn't have a clue as to what he is doing. Not to mention, your special teams suck like Monica Lewinsky! Dude, did you not see your fat arse linemen standing there as USM rushed the punt everytime?

You can come at me all the time about how my school didn't do this and that. But, you r team supposedly has the best talent and can't do isht! Not a thang!!!!! Bring that same line to the stadium when AAMU plays you. You will see what I mean about our defense being back. Yall some weak pushies! You didn't look weak because of USM, you just looked weak!

Robber, I did not see the JSU-USM game but can understand what you are trying to say. I did see Georgia-Clemson. Two of Georgia's touchdowns in the first half were helped by good punt and kickoff returns. As a matter of fact a kickoff was returned for a TD.

One should understand that special teams are 1/3 of the game. They can turn around a game in a hurry. Someone who understands football knows that.

Speaking of the ex-Prairie View coach, is anyone on this board willing to coach a college football team with about 15 scholarships? Maybe a few would try but not many. BTW he turned around Langston into a winner, and I do not think that they have had a winning record since he left.

You ever wonder how JSU could get blown out by FAMU or Tenn. State, or Howard and still put a foot up annie mae's ass??? It's because your team ain't good. See, you try to make yourself believe that what you saw was not because of USM. You won't know until we play A&T this weekend. After we put a foot up A&T's ass, I suspect you gonna STFU and dread 11/09.

You talk about our O-line as if you know something about lines. USM woulda been all over your QB, too, with their blitz. And once we figured out that Couselor didn't need to be running off tackle, we ran well.

I know annie mae loss to a suck ass team. Ain't even up for debate. That means you suck. And if you bring that crap to Jackson, you are gonna get beat worser than you and I both expect.

We did not have 5 bad punts in 1987. Also, if you are from Alabama State, you should be the last person to talk about defense.
 
Robber, we know that Mike knows nothing about football. He says that he is looking at a game in which we are giving USM great field postion yet we are still forcing them to attempt field goals becasue our defense was right there. Our special teams cost us this game plain and simple. The defense and offense played their hearts out but how can you stay pumped up when you for every step you take, your special teams take you back two.

Also, as is relates to Mike, his QB's were a combined 5 of 16. Had they lined up across from USM that would have been 0-16 or 16 sacks. AAMU is not on JSU's level They could not even play a 1A team if they payed them. "L", they can't even get on a 1-AA's schedule. They are so beneath us.

You ain't gotta tell me. 5 of 16 against Jax'ville State??? That's S _ _. Can you imagine what it'd be like against the #11 ranked defense in I-A last year that returned 9 starters??? USM wouldn't even resect their pass. They'd have negative yards total offense.

See, you didn't just lose by 7........ 10........15.....21 points. You lost by..... 55 minus 7 eguals...... Dayum!!!!! 48 points!!!!! What are you talking about? What do you have to say about this? The best you can come up with is the Special teams were horrible? You should have let Kent throw a long interception and call it a punt in your book. This was all about jsu being the same as last year. You have no defense and no Special teams. Only difference this year is that your offense is starting to smell like the rest of your team.

I am still pulling for you to win the A&T game. A&T will be playing with alot of inexperienced guys. So, you should do a better job. Plus their defense isn't as strong as it was two years ago.

You have been missing for months, why show up now. At least we don't know what the real deal is with our team because of who we played but you lost to a 1AA scrub team that will end up somewhere next to last in the Southland. You have no QB and whatever special teams and defense you did have did not help you at all, did it?? You see if you had an offense like JSU, no cheating in the world would have stopped you from scoring 50 on a smalltime team like Jxnville State. Refs and only cheat so much.

Personally, I like the way my defense and offense matched up against theirs. We will start scoring 14 points a quarter from this point on. None of you have USM's defense.

Has annie mae ever played against a team with a defense ranked #11 in I-A. Not I-AA, but I-A. Ahead of Nebraska, FSU and damn near everybody else playing football. That defense returned 9 starters. Logic dictates that their defense would be good. That's why our offense had a hard time, but they still did well driving the ball.

I won't tell you that the game wasn't embarrassing. Damn skippy, I'm embarrassed. But don't act like we got worked by Jacksonville State or something, like y'all did.

And you bragging on your defenders. Aaahhhh, didn't they blow a 17 point halftime lead. To Jacksonville State of all teams. :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

You saw Highlights, I saw the game. I know what my team can do and I know that it still ain't nothing your team will be able to do with Kent, Counselor, Nolan, Ross, and even Jacobs. Notice, I did not even mention how Jones got his hands on the ball and was dragging USM defenders. If we could drive on USM, we can drive on Annie Mae. If we had 300 yards of offense against USM, we will have 600 against Annie Mae. This is my last post to you because you lost to JxnVille State. You are lowly.

Jackson State was ranked in the top five in Division 1-AA in 1987, I doubt if they are ranked in the top twenty in 2002, so you can't compare the 1987 team to the 2002 team. Special team problems last year, Special team problems this year, the problem breaks down to coaching. Special team is all about field position! Robert Hughes must go.
 
Robert Hughes will be back next year. Jackson State people are not intelligent to know that their problem is coaching. :o
 
You are right, Robert Hughes will be back next year along with about 16 starters from this year's team. Why?? Because USM is the only team that really stood a chance. TNState, A&T, AlaState, and Grambling have already shown that they will not be able to compete this year. The only questionmark now is Southern since they played a 1-A school. I am not even impressed with Alcorn at this point. Being down to PeNut at the half and only winning by 10 is a moral loss. They only returned about 5 starters from a 4-7 team compared to Alcorn's 15 or more starters from a 6-5 team.

We know Hughes needs to be fired but how can we fire him when he wins the SWAC with a bunch of So's and Jr's??
 
Hey Rob, you made a very good point, but these people don't know the first thing about football if they can't see were you're coming from. They will see what you are talking about when we do it to them! So the SWAC need to watch out cause the SWAC title is coming back to Jackson!

This is really sad for a program like JSU. It shows that you'll are desperate and will do anything to try and win. Well! with the picking of your new DC, yall suppose to be "balling and shot-calling now". Yall don't won't to win, you just want to field a team.
