Robert Hughes first BIG mistake was hiring former Prairie View Head Coach as it's defensive coordinator.

It wasnt the Defenses fault that we gave up all those points. It was special teams.

These folk don't know football. They just watch, without understanding. They don't understand that we were playing a I-A team, first and foremost, that returned 17 starters. They don't understand that you can't expect your defense to defend a 20-30 yard field on every possession, especially against a I-A team. Now, if we were playing annie mae, they still wouldna scored. But we were playing a team that will be in a post-season bowl game.
As we plow through our I-AA schedule, they will understand then. They don't understand that they are not USM. They are their own suck ass non-programs.

But,
I wouldn't even give USM the credit that their offense handled our defense like that.
I believe there were problems on the inside.
The prediction was that J-State's Defense would be a killa this year, but it didn't show last night.
Our o-line was a major problem, as well as special teams.
Defense played a part too though.....
I feel like if our boys stepped up, then they could've forced some major turnovers in the game.
When we were marching in, the peeps didn't even look as though they were crunk about this game.
They looked like they knew they were gonna lose. :shame:

Like I said, man. They just there. Don't know what the hell they looking at. How can you blame a defense when the I-A opponent starts a drive at your 22??? Or at your 13??? Or at your own 32??? Or at the 28??? Or at the 49??? That's 31 points USM scored on short azz fields.
I can't blame a defensive player for losing morale behind garbage special teams play that puts them in that position.
