The best defense is a great offense and neither offenses were great. The SWAC was traditionally an offensive league. Deion will make the SWAC a defensive league. There will be a lot of parody in the east.

Y’all didn’t beat a division II team 7-6, y’all beat a legitimate FCS program. I didn’t expect JSU’s offense to be explosive vs FAMU. JSU was the underdog today and the defense persevered. Once the offense starts clicking, it’s on for JSU.

I think we’re humbled just to crawl out of Miami with this one , but famu is a damn good football team… however our coaches and QB need to understand situational football … all I will say here is our offense got a month to figure things out … Tennessee State is on the clock…

Also…we had 3 KEY player on defense that were out. Famu is indeed a good team especially defensively. I think this game will be important as the season progresses. We should be humbled by this performance and look to make a leap from game 1.

We won but I feel like we lost. We got to many good players on O to be only mustering up 1 TD.

I feel you…with the recruits that you have and the way Young Sanders was talking only scoring 7 points was a disappointment.

I doubt it. They didn’t play a FAMU in the Spring.

Sanders was 17-23 for 219 yard with no picks. He did have a crucial fumble when they were going to score again, but the freshman made some damn good throws in his Division I FCS debut.
