ATLANTA, Ga. -- Recruiting Analytics (RA) added Jackson State University to its list of college football clients. Jackson State, who hired Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders as its 21st head coach last week, will be the first HBCU football program to harness the power of artificial intelligence, predictive analytics and advanced performance data to identify and objectively evaluate prospects to recruit, via RA's patent-pending platform

JSU Vice President and Director of Athletics Ashley Robinson is excited to bring data analytics to the Tigers' football program. "We are taking a data-driven approach to our recruiting efforts to help increase our hit rate, while becoming more efficient with the help of Recruiting Analytics," said Robinson.

Recruiting Analytics is the only video-based player tracking platform that enables college football programs to verify game speed of high school prospects. RA's platform has been used by 12 D1 college football programs and featured on popular sites like ESPN, USA Today, 247 Sports, MSNBC Sports, Sporting News and the XFL.

What the heck was John Hendrick and Tony Hughes doing in the past - was it they did not want former JSU players around the program...

Those things happen when you bring in outsiders who do not buy into the culture and tradition of the university and does things their way.

Hold up ... @NastyD

How many former J-State players are high school coaches in Mississippi? That's damned criminal if those resources weren't tapped.

Quite a few but that tide has turned. Hendrick tried to tap into those resources a little especially with TC being on staff. Ashley and Hudson made sure to keep TC and Otis around and on staff as they both know the culture and tradition of our university. Deion is on board with it all and will welcome those players back. Things are looking up on lynch street.

I see ... you see TC and Otis staying on board past 2021?

Let’s be honest we all know hbcu grads that have kids with high rankings will try to play you harder than anything cause they want to experience something through their kids they felt they missed Growing up.

And coaches that went to HBCUs with great talent at their high schools (we don’t get those jobs) that’s a whole other issue. Now should they publicly campaign for HBCUs to offer or make sure their top talent is going there? Yes? But in reality they don’t unless you squeeze them To do so

I know for Southern ... Robert Valdez played for Pete. He was the HC at West St. John when we got Dray Joseph and Austin Howard. Y'all had a couple of his WSJ boys at Jackson. When he moved to Scotlandville, I think we had a couple of his boys ... now he's at St. James: Preston went to Mississippi State ... and another committed to LSU ... but we have the RB from last year and an All-State OL committed. Hopefully the younger Preston will come to Southern (their dad played under Pete, I think).

Let me not get started to how many of the sons of these guys don't play/consider coming to their parent/parent(s) alma maters. FYI: Stingley's mama was a Doll, I think.

The ironic thing is the kid did not say he was coming to JSU. You would think that he would have made a commitment to do so if he wanted to be recruited that badly. It is likely that he will go to one of the major schools recruiting him.

Maynor and his staff have been offering to kid recruited by FBS schools since they arrived. None of the ones with desirable FBS offers ever comes.

Good move to use every technology to help improve evaluation of recruits and know what you are getting before they are offered a scholarship.

Hes a LSU commit. Most of the guys that coach O has been offering are already commits that we are trying to flip. The good thing though is that his dad and Deion have close ties so he will definitely give insight on other potentially gifted kids around that area that may be under the radar. We got a commitment from one of his teammates yesterday.

and they were impact players who became local celebs cause they went to Southern and turned it around in the 90s. The 93-95 teams come to mind immediately as two of the sons ain't even sniffed SU.

But you rarely hear about LSU players with SU ties unless someone tells you as that don't get out to the media ironically and there are way more to North BR than they want you to hear
