Is Putin about to punk the U.S. again?


F the war, I could care less. We can't find money for healthcare, education, and jobs but we now ready to give/spend billion to Ukraine.

That is pretty much typical American foreign policy. It's sucks, but it has been that way for some time. We spend billions on other countries, but neglect to spend here.

US didn't take over no country. It was messed up what Bush did, but I have not seen the USA plant a Stars and Stripes flag claming a country since WWII. Russia been taking shat forever. They invaded GEORGIA in 2008 remember and they still there. :lol:

Russia got oil all over that country so that is not the reason.
The place where this is going on is the home of the largest RUSSIAN Warm weather port and home to their Black Sea Fleet. To put that into scope, picture the United States all of a sudden losing access to deep water Military and exporting ports in Norfolk, Hawaii, or San Diego. Russia will never let that place completely fall out of their control because they have no where else to station their fleet or export and import goods year round.


Russia lose control over that port, their economy is even more toast. All of their shipping and importing is done in that place.

in today's world, the Pen is officially mightier than the Sword. What Russia has done this past week is no different than what the US did when we went into Iraq. For the most part, you guys are right, neither wants an armed confrontation because it could quickly spiral out of control. The best way for the US to do anything is through economic sanctions. While Russia is a developed country, their economy is very fragile. There may be a skirmish involved here and there, but there will probably be no major confrontation.

As for some of you comparing DoD job's importance over another........:retard:
 
We're going to give the Ukraine 1 billion in loans that they owe Russia, now that's how you sanction a mother.

That aint shat. Europe plans to give $11 Billion. Ukraine is broke and was on the verge of a complete collapse. Russia beat everybody else, including the U.N., to the punch. Putin is smarter than most folks give him credit.

Ukraine needs $35bn in aid to ‘stay afloat’ – Finance Minister

A second-wave of revolution, a missing President, and a treasury that is nearly empty, Ukraine is on the brink of bankruptcy. Kiev’s finance minister said it needs $35 billion in aid by the end of 2015.

Acting Finance Minister Yuriy Kolobov said the situation is “difficult but controllable” and proposed calling an international conference of donors with the EU, the US and other countries to seek financial assistance.

One of the main goals will be forging a path for Ukraine to sign an EU Association Agreement, which, when President Yanukovich failed to sign in November set off protests in the country. An arrest warrant has been issued for Yanukovich for his role in last week’s bloody clashes in which 82 people died.
