Is ALCORN That GOOD?

My guess is Alcorn is in the same neighborhood as S.U., PV and maybe Bama State. I suspect one of those 4 teams will win the 2014 SCG....

Once again Alcornites are falling for the trap...:smh:.

STOP focusing only on JSU and focus on every SWAC Game. To simplify for you Alcornites who cannot understand my complex mind frame, EVERY SWAC GAME we play is like a Championship, we have to win. JSU should not be the focus.

To Emmanuel Barnes, if you are reading this, DO NOT ANNOUNCE any SWAC scores this year during the ballgames. Our team does not need that distraction during the game. Alcorn has 3G and 4G Network availability. If people want to know a score, they can use their smartphones.

I don't dispute the records since 03. I play on those Bell teams. My question is why you picked going back to 2003 for a series record?

Becasue that is the ONLY year he could get an advantage.. LOL Let him try 2002 or 2004 and see if he can make the same statement.

Of course. You aren't going to see too many occasions where the defending champs(unless they lost a lot of key players) aren't included in the list of teams favored to win the title again.

You are right but in the case of SU, I don't see it being a realistic reason to rank them high. SU had a poor defense that never got better and nothing you did in the off-season says the defense will be any better. On top of that, your offense lost it's most important player... you all keep trying to downplay that but with no QB and a sorry defense, it's back to losing for SU.

I got Alcorn winning the East.

I have BAMA State winning the EAST but that's on paper only. When it comes to ranking teams on paper vs ranking them realistically, you have to go with the paper vote. BAMA State should win the EAST but we know they typically can't beat JSU. The EAST will be decided on what JSU does. If JSU is good, we win hands down.. If not, BAMA State wins the EAST. Alcorn is NOT about to go to Houston. The best they will do is 2nd place.

Alcorn is going to win the East as long as they don't fall asleep at the wheel like they did against AAMU and Bama State.

You'll just have to wait until the season starts if you believe this.

Exactly!! Without Dray, su would've been in the same vicinity as Grambling and PB. They have a QB with zero experience that they're bragging on.

There is no sense in talking about your lil 13 five star wide-outs if a qb cannot get them the ball.....they don't understand that tho lmaoooo All 13 of them receivers that run a 4.0 flat in the 40 yard dash will look like track stars without a good qb. A good qb can take average receivers to a championship, but I have never EVER seen an inexperienced/ sorry qb do that. They put a lot of stock in their wr corp so hopefully they can put the team on their back and take them to the ship without having an established qb. We shall see.

There are plenty of examples out there of inexperienced QBs winning games and leading their teams to victories(see the 2014 BCS championship game). I am not going to give the many examples of this because you and your friends will be quick to say we aren't (insert school) and our QB isn't (insert player name). Our QB won't be asked to shoulder the full load of responsibility. We have more than just WRs on this team that will make his job much easier. Ya'll acting like we are playing in the SEC. Heck, 2 years ago Grambling won the SWAC title with DJ Williams.

Yup to whatever you typed. 1 year ago, uapb (defending champs) won two games following their championship. But, thanks for taking time to respond to me with your abundance of examples of how NORMALLY an inexperienced qb leads their teams to victories.

Loose leaf or notebook?

Pine Bluff was rocked by a lot of players being deemed ineligible before the start of last season, then they had injuries
