Intentional Racism

I wanna be your lover...
I've had two incidences of intentional racism, which, if they had been successful would have cost me much money.

1. I did a VA appraisal (1/2 in this county) last year. Lady had a nice home, I'd seen it before and was talking about some of the differences and she one repair she needed to finish- install a toilet in a bath she was remodeling. I submitted the report with no problem. Got an email the day after from the Dept of VA. I'm like...hmmmm...it had **URGENT*** across the top. Open it up, the email is from the lender telling the VA that the homeowner has made a complaint. I was a "doozy" of a an appraisal and constantly made racist statements and was overall just racist to her. The VA indicated that they took these allegations seriously and if found correct, I'd be removed from appraiser panel. I was floored. I thought it was a typical assignment, nothing outstanding but definitely nothing like what they described. I vehemently denied it and asked them to forward me her statement so I could give my side of the events.

You know what happened next? NOTHING. The homeowner gave them nothing. I'm now jocking the VA about where is her statement. After 2 weeks, they said, let's just forget it. I'm told them no. She defamed me and committed libel and slander: She told her loan officer who wrote it who passed it along, so that was slander AND libel IMO. I gave them a statement to pass along. Two weeks later, I get a "completion" request from the VA for this same person. My boyfriend said, don't let that heffa mess with your money...so I didn't'. I called her up like nothing had happened. She started stammering just as soon as I said who I was...she didn't set an appt; said she would call me back. Now here is the kicker, with VA, what appraiser you start with, you have to finish with unless something happened with that appraiser--death, retirement, off panel, etc. I let them know she wouldn't set up an appt. They said it was up to her to do so but they weren't changing. She never called back. I'm sure her husband was 4:30 hot if he ever found out the backstory to why they didn't get a low rate VA loan....

2) Yesterday, I got a call from a relocation company. They had contacted me about selling an antebellum house in Woodville. I was waiting for the info when I got a call from the owner of the house. She sounded flustered when she was talking but she indicated she was new to this and didn't know if I was supposed to contact her or she me. I told her I hadn't gotten any info but I was in the middle of something and would have to call her back. Well, I couldn't get back to her that day because I had a sale that some issues we were working through. So.....I got a text from my son who was manning the phones saying i needed to contact the company about this lady who called. He said lady had been saying some things about me.

Y'all.....relocation company called me and said the owner of the house called them and said i didn't want to list her house because she was white. She got all of that from a 20 sec ONLY convo. We've never met. She doesn't know what I am...but she told them it was racial which was why I hadn't listed her house they emailed me about last week yet. WTH?? They company said she sounded ridiculous and dropped her as a client since they said they don't deal like that or with those "clouds" surrounding the transaction.

Now, if both of these WHITE WOMEN had been successful, I would have been off the Dept of Veteran Affairs appraisal roster--steady income or off this relocation company's panel. Their racism is INTENTIONAL AND ON PURPOSE. They MEANT me harm...they will smile but wanting us to actually succeed? No damn way...

1) When 911 was going online here in Houston I was the PBX installation tech for the 911 switches. I installed one at what was called City Neutral, one at the Fire Alarm Building and one at the Houston Police Department. Most of the guys on my crew were hired off the street and knew next to nothing about telephones and even less about the Nortel PBX we were installing. Anyway, while finishing pulling cable at the police department we had started setting out the phones. One sgt (white) was in the room looking at the phones. He asked a guy (white) working with me about the phones. The guy told him he did not know and I was the switch tech and I would know. The sgt continued to ask the guy working with me and he kept telling the "officer" he did not know and he needed to ask me. He never asked and I kept working like I never heard their conversation.

2) On another occasion my supervisor sent me to oversee this job because the two white guys assigned to the job were dragging their feet and the job was cutting that Friday. From the time I set foot on the job site I did not leave the switch room. I unpacked the PBX, setup the MDF, terminated the switch tails. All of my work was confined to the switch room. The Thursday before the cut over the receptionist (white) looked at me and asked who was going to program the switch? I just looked at her.

3) Once I was out of work and during this period they use to post jobs in the classifieds in the daily papers. I saw that Houston Natural Gas (the name at that time) was looking for a Nortel PBX tech. I called the number and the lady I talked to asked about my experience. I told her and told her I was certified on Nortel PBX systems and she said, "you are just what we are looking for". She told me to come in that Monday for an interview and fill out the application. Well, Monday morning I show up and the lady I talked to was at the front desk. When I told her my name her face dropped. The next thing out of her mouth was there was no opening. She never said the position was filled...just that there was no opening.

Racism does not just involve race....I have been declined a job because of my medical condition. I could have sued my alma mater but didn't. I didn't want anymore negatives to come to GSU.

I was interviewed for a number of jobs and two Deans in the same department at different times made the statement that they did not want someone with my medical condition working in their department. Three people on the committees told me and they were frightened because they didn't want to lose their jobs.

I don't speak to the six of them anymore.

White women are very intimidated by successful, educated, very well spoken black women. White women have low self-esteem,and need a man to boost their egos. They lack the confidence of strong black women and they're quick to try to find a way to hate on black women.

you should still out their asses if to no one else but the president. Make sure he understands the financial devastation that could come to the university with board/committee members with this mindset.

baby...CLEAN YOUR SOUL OUT....if they don't do nothing...it's in black and white and they had a chance to read all about it...watch what I tell ya. Like my mama use to say: Make a paper trail. You never know when you need it to slap a nucka in the mouth with their lies....

Racism is toxic and permeates our society. Pre-meditated racism has ended lives, careers, impacted physical health and mental sanity. Some of the racist in corporate America as well as walking around in ones everyday life are just as sick and sadistic as cops that would kill an innocent made in cold blood or a priest that would rape a child. In the wake up days of Donald J. Trump, we should not be dismayed at the injustices encountered in everyday life. I submit to you that it is NOT your imagination....what was always at the surface has leaped out with a vengeance.

I've been in the group I'm in now for about four years. It was all males except my Chief. Well last year around September we got this white chick. She is always trying to be nosey and asking what are people working on. Especially this one Asian dude. She even knows what time he comes in and leave. It amazes me how they always gotta worry about what other people are doing. Especially people of color.
