I'm sure I'm not the only one

Have you ever heard of a kool aid dill pickle. Last month, I'm in the cafeteria and a lady has one & I ask her, "What in the world is that." She tells me it's a kool aid dill pickle and one of the guy's wife makes 'em for $2. I wanted to vomit right there. Now, I see they are "worldwide" as they are on facebook in the ghetto snack section. I've been missing out on these "nouveau" snacks. :uhoh:

Man i went home last summer and my aunt had plenty of these bad boys. She sells them at the school(she's the Librarian) and at games. They make a batch of kool aid and let them soak in the cool aid and eat them. My kids loved them.

my wife was like...:vomit::vomit::vomit::vomit:

I mentioned them in one of our eating threads.

Well... we didn't soak them in koolaid, but we used to dip them in koolaid when I was younger. Did the same thing with lemons.

It's kinda hard to explain the taste. I wouldn't do it now, but shoot I hardly even touch pickles these days.

No thank you. The ONLY way I'd even taste it, is if someone was right next me, ready to give me a slice of it, not giving me anytime to think about it. Couldn't be that bad if alot of folks like it.

Other than that...I doubt I'd ever eat it.

Who eats realish or sweet pickles.

Well that's what it taste like. I don't care for sweep pickles. I do like relish on my hot dog.

they use tropical punch koolaid and they simply take a dill pickle and make it sweet and sour at the same time.

It truly is a country snack. Ghetto maybe but it is straight out of the country.

That's some kuntry shiz. But I have to admit they are kind of tastey :flippy:
My daughter hipped me to them a few summers ago when she was visting some kin folks in Rolling Fork.

Now I'm from the deep woods country and I've never encountered that. I'm afraid to ask my folx and lawd knows we'll eat anything that walks and breathes air.

I didn't do it, but folks used to put now and laters in their pickles...same thing...so I guess it's tasty.

Yeah it's pretty much the same thing as putting now & laters or "wine candy" in the middle. The "candy lady" would make a killing on these things.

We used to put peppermints in our pickles and eat them but I aint never had no koolaide pickle. I must say is doesn't look appetizing.

First time I heard about this was when I was a little girl spending the summers in Holly Springs, Mississippi. My cousin would eat them all the time.

I am not sure how you Mississippi and Alabama folks don't know about them.
