Uh Spears has 2-3 years left on his contract so he aint going nowhere.
As far as Pete......he is sweating right now. Trust me. So much so he is even trying to be more talkative. LOL.

Obviously you aint hearing from the right sources. Pete aint going to get a new contract. Hell if he even asks for one they may fire his arse on the spot. He is just hoping to have one more year. Even talking about him hitting the recruiting trail. LOL. Pete is scared than a mofo right now and he needs to be. Too many mad Jags right now.
Even if we let Pete stay , his contract is up next December. So one way or the other he is gone. He could go 12-0 and he will be gone. His popularity rating is George Bush like in Baton Rouge.
I know you wish we keep him. I know you are afraid that SU going to bring in a LC Cole or Mike White guy. You should be. :jump:

It dont matter who you hire. The key to winning is getting good players and then add a decent coach. You already have a decent coach, you just cant convince GOOD players to come to that dump. They dont want to play in a place where its obvious the people dont care about the athletes. Thats why you now have the worst athletes in the SWAC now. SU is the last place a good athlete wants to play.
BTW GR has the ear of one of SUs leading administrators. Pete is said to get a new contract soon. GR dont think yall will be dumb enough to give him more money, but rumor has it that he is asking for a 7% raise.

When GR came to BR in 2005, GR was like, "Damn, SU has to be the sorriest team we have played this year, they aint go not talent." Eventhough we had Bell, it was obvious that was the only reason yall beat us. We had waaay better players in 2005. GR tried to tell yall that you have no talent.
So GR started a thread to ask you guys why you were so optimistic cause GR knew yall were going to suck. If yall came back with that horrible QB (JC Lewis) and the rest of that poor group, GR knew that yall would suck.
This year, the worst team JSU played was PB, not SU, but yall are a close second. If yall dont make some huge upgrades in talent and coaching, you are headed for another losing season. You heard it here first...and second...and third....but at least yall will beat Gram which is all yall want to do anyway.

You are starting to sound like band fan. So you got the ear of a SU administrator........probably one with no clout. Unless he sits on the SU Board and is the Chairman then he has no info and nothing of value to tell you.
Pete arse aint no fool. He aint going to ask SU for no raise. Actually I hope he does. They will fire his dumb arse on the spot. Nothing like pissing off them folks down in BR. As far the facilities. They need to be upgraded no doubt. But if LC Cole could get kids to come to Bama State with their facilities that Coe is complaining about then I know a coach that is not lazy can get a kid to come to SU. Pete could have brand new facilities and still have the same lazy arse staff and all we would do is lose in pretty facilities. Nah GR, JR knows what has to be done. Facilities didn't run a Qb sneak with no timeouts.
Nope, JR will not be hoodwinked into thinking it all on the facilities. The coaching staff has to held responsible as well. Pete should have taken some of his money and bought some weights and stuff if he was so concerned. LC did at Bama State. Look don't get me started. Just worry about how JSU is going to finally overcome the Bamas. We know we needs to happen at SU.
BTW, tell that SU admin you got the ear of to get of his arse and do something down there in BR if he is all in the know or to STFU then.:shame:

Secondly...and see this is what pisses me off. Facilities dont call QB sneak with no timeouts, but if you have some good facilities, the linemen can actually push somebody off the ball for a change.
GR has spoken to recruits that visited SU. They told me that SU was a joke and they would voluntarily go JUCO before going to SU. He told me SU does everything NOT to show the workout facility cause its so embarrassing.
You will feel the pain of not have decent facilities when you play JSU in 2007. Hey the same guy GR talks to said that SU is considering moving the game back to Jackson in 2007. Have you heard the same thing? Its really the smart thing to do.

GR, regardless if you have the Cowboys OL, you don't run the ball with no timeouts left and less than 10 seconds on the clock. You know that.
Second, I am sure recruits do not like what they see in BR, but again they aint the only issue is my point.
third, I have no problem playing the game in Jackson as long as it isn't in the Dome.....just takes away from the game in my opinion and of course we get the money at the gate for moving the game. Now I will believe it when I see it moving to Jackson in 07. I just don't think they will go along with it. Mumford is probably going to be where the game is played, if not it will be New Orleans.

The game will be played in "The Ace." S.U. gave jsu a chance but they just don't travel well. I think they're too many folks affiliated with jsu that sharecrop. Not all, but just too many. They just don't have the entertainment dollars to even make short trips. The last time the game was played at The Ace, they were begging us to allow ABC to broadcast the game. Those folks are too cheap to even come to Baton Rouge. :lol: :emlaugh:

Dude....GR dont have to spin a thing. GR is a friend of the truth. If it aint true, TGO dont want to have nothing to do with it. GR hasnt spun any losses. We loss, but we were the best team on the field. Nobody would argue with that. Considering the stinch of Bell (excuse me robber) is still here, its pretty good that Comegy could gather the best talent in the SWAC in less than a year. What do you think he is going to do with a whole year to recruit??????....even football season???
GR is looking forward to next season. Can you honestly say you are too? GR didnt think so. SU is headed for another losing season. Yall threw good money at a bad situation.
