women's basketball smack? Did you forget about the men's game?

Nobody forgot. Our guys went cold at the end and lost. Their girls blew a 15 point lead in a span of about 10 minutes and got beat by 10. So much for the coach that was too good....

Thanks TiSsUe...

your $100K AD only told the Houston Chronicle back in 2002

Cooper's Response
"I'm very interested in getting back into coaching," she said. "I would definitely want to coach at the collegiate level. I'd definitely want to stay as close to home as possible. And I want to teach the game of basketball; I want to win. That's all I'm about. So whatever program I'm affiliated with, that's my No. 1 goal."

Cooper said she's "studied up on TSU a little bit" and knows of its unsuccessful history. It is her belief that recruiting athletes to reverse the trend would be no problem.

"You know, Texas has great talent," she said. "And if we could get some of those players to stay at home and play for us, if I was to coach in Texas, then that would be great."

The $100K AD's response
Blackwell said he's uncertain whether Cooper would be comfortable at TSU.

In the WNBA, Blackwell said, "you fly to most places as far as (coaching in that league). This situation here, you'd be going on the bus, be gone for four days and things like that. I think it was a family situation (that led to Cooper's resignation at Phoenix) where she wanted to be with her kids more. This wouldn't be a situation where she would be with them more, because we travel by buses, sometimes 10 hours on the bus going from here to Alabama.

"I don't know if this is really the right application for her."

2006
Cooper - 1
Claude Cummings - 0

as for the men's game, you know it's rough whenTSU alumni criticize the team AFTER the victory but I won't even mention that...

Please... feel free... go ahead. Please.

this ain't the place...lets stick to the topic at hand...

next time, don't let Sheila Jackson Lee handpick your coach....see what you missed out on? If Cooper had the team he had, TSU wins by 20

You know this is truly sad, I guess any win against TSU is something to be celebrated. One win does not make a successful season or determine wheter or not the coach will be successful. Putting Cooper and her number on assistant on a college campus is like putting pookie to work in the crack factory.(New Jack City). The temptation will simply be to strong.

On the Men side, we beat PV, again we were playing for last place. So what is there to celebrate.

well technically, it's only your second win of the season over PV in anything so hardly the celebration..just wanted to make light one of your annual athletic blunders...

ET....married men at TSU take the goods more than the single men..come on...

My point exactly. This is only Courtney second win against PV. To be perfectly honest, I was totally suprised at the outcome.

On the womens front. Cynthia was not the biggest blunder. Not going after Denise Taylor an alumnus was the biggest blunder.

This is so MeacFans-ish of us. It's after 4:00, and not a single post on the smack board. :retard::retard:

Damn

It's almost golf season. So, congrats.
:snicker:

Mighty Hornet, GR thinks that I am going to remind him that the Best Average Team in America is playing .500 basketball and JSucks is again below average. They just cannot get past the best Average Team in America.
