NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Aug. 4 ? Former basketball star Dennis Rodman, no stranger to run-ins with the law on land, is now in trouble at sea.
RODMAN WAS CITED Friday for speeding in his 47-foot pleasure boat after the Orange County Sheriff?s Department said its Harbor Patrol clocked him doing more than 20 mph in a 5 mph zone. He was cited and released on his own recognizance after he docked the boat, sheriff?s Sgt. John Whitman said.
Authorities said three witnesses called the Harbor Patrol to report that Rodman?s boat, Sexual Chocolate, was speeding as it passed the Lido Isle Yacht Club.
It?s not the first time Rodman has had run-ins with his beach-front neighbors.
In early May, police shut down his 40th birthday party after Rodman made a dramatic entrance on the beach outside his home via helicopter. The party, which featured entertainment by two rock bands, prompted dozens of noise complaints.
Other gatherings at Rodman?s home have resulted in more than 70 police visits and more than $3,000 in fines for noise violations.
Now Rodman's boat is called "Sexual Chocolate"....If you had a boat what its name be?
