Tell me how SUcks lost to Alcorn.
I want it in your own words.
Honestly, they were just better than you. But we both know that you dont want to hear the truth.Originally posted by Oracle
MD:
Apparently, they did not get the benefit of a dozen flags. Like you pointed out, an evenly called game reduces giants to mortals.

Yep and you'd think he'd be more worried that they are now in the mix to keep them from the goal but I guess that's what happen when you eat, sleep, drink and think Jags all day.

We are glad to be in the mix. That means we will see if the Jags can win under normal circumstances. The results this weekend raised an interesting question.

Uh MD, Alcorn came to play. Talked no noise. Did not complain about any refs and btw, had a better game plan than AAMU did.
Maybe your coach should try that sometimes.

You maybe right that Southern was better. I am not saying that we would have won absent the flags. But we cannot know because the result of the game was jaded with unnecessary penalties that kept SU's stalled drives alive. I would just have rather have seen a game based soley upon the play of the teams.
The truth is that too many unnecessary flags were thrown. JR admitted that shortly after the game. Why can't the rest of you Jags do the same?
Frankly, we have been in the SWAC long enough to realize that unecessary flags in the favor of SU and Gram are a constant and permanent reality that will not go away. Instead of letting the flags become a mental block, we should just learn to adjust our approaches to those games and make it as difficult as possible for the officials to use discretion to throw the flags. But realizing that we need to do something to minimize the officials' discretion to throw the flags does not mean that we don't have to question the validity of the outcome of a game where the numerous unnecessary flags were thrown.

wrong answer, SU players are condition to receiving penalties in this type of situation. They know that if the other team score in a situation like this it will be called on the other team.Originally posted by Timbuktu Jag

Who is this oracle cat? I got the video and you can come to my house and show me where SU had stalled drive against A&M that needed the refs to keep going. For crying out loud...
Please win out A&M, please win out... We weren't finsihed with you in Mumford, please win out, pretty please!!
To answer your question
First of all MD,
Alcorn didn't talk any smack during the week, they prepared themselves with a game plan.
Therefore if we don't talk smack we can win in Mudville.
Second
We took the opening KO and score on our first possession as usually. But instead of Alcorn going 3 and out and let the rout begin, they had the nerve to come throw a long TD pass after I players gave up on the when they saw the flag. Little did they know that the flag was on SU. Pee Wee football 101, don't stopp until you hear the whistle, not because you see flags.

I'm hoping that TSU can win this weekend and beat SU so the Bayou Classic means nothing at all but a time to get drunk.
I hope you were smart enough to put it on Texas College. :emlaugh:Originally posted by Blu Panther

Maybe not for THIS loss, but for others.
Up until Homecoming this year, all we heard for a year is excuses as to why y'all lost the CCC.
Just wanted to point that out for you.![]()
