Jag BR. I pray that all our teams are healthy this season. It's been a long time coming but we will come to play this season. Just don't bring those red paper bag refs out the woodworks for the game. Play Fair.:what::emlaugh:Oh yeah can I borrow a bullet proof vest.

Jax how can you deny that a team that was assembled in less than 5 months had the entire swac on the ropes with the exception of Gram. Not only did that team get assembled at the last minute but very few got a chance to workout in the summer and several were unfamilar with the playbook. We had UAPB down,AAMU,and Alcorn and lost in the trenches to teams who should have mopped the field with us right. Now you add all the new players with D1 experience, returnees at all the key positions,the props and the newly signed players and we will be that much better. We continue to have 75% of the team in summer school and workouts. They have had another year to study the playbook so the confusion will be minimal at best. We will be better god willing. Oh yeah we signed several corners which was the main reason we lost those three games listed. Gram did what the rest of you should have and Tennessee State got lucky. Now what will be your excuse when you lose to this talent less team again.

You take a team that was coached by James Fing Bell and only one team beat you from start to finish(GRAM). We were up on PB the entire game and let it slip away at the end. We were up on the Corn the entire game held the ball for 9 straight minutes. Then give them the ball back with a few minutes to go. We even had chicken and pound cake down. That's on the Ropes. My point is with an entire year to prepare, added talent and an improve coaching staff we will not go 2-9 and I bet my life on that one.

Only Gram ran reck shop on JSU last season. I just really don't see us losing this season. I just don't think like that.

Dude, SU scored 21 points and barely had 21 yards....LOL Do you REALLY expect that same luck in the future? Our team was simply not together and actually, Pete outcoached Comegy to stay in the game. If JSU was not more talented than SU, you might have won.

More talented?? Ya'll won by 3 pernts. 3 PERNTS in 2 OT's. I can sit here all day and type if this and if that...Fact is the team that capitalizes on the other teams mistakes won. That night in question it was j stank.

If ya'll were more talented than SU...ya'll shoulda mopped the floor by us and the game would have never went in to 2 OT's.

Earth to Jax!! we DID wipe the field with you. We had dives of like 70-90 yards!! THREE of your scores averaged less than 10 yards per drive...LOL You scored on JSU miscues. We just shoved the ball down your throat. That is why I keep askin JR how Pete is gonna make up for that 3 TD difference and STILL deal with an improved JSU squad. You ain't seen moppin the floor until JSU rolls into BR this year.

Everyone was on the MEAC board proppin up Alabama State and Grambling vs SCState and Hampton...err body knows FAMU is gonna beat the crap out of ya'll along with everyone else.

Uh Marty Schottenheimer had teams that went up and down the field on folks and still they did not win. See that is JSU's problem and always has been. You don't know how to beat folks when you need too, if you are more talented. How many times has Pete beat a more talented JSU team. Hell we beat yall with Jacoby and Qbs that were 5'8. So what does that tell you. JSU looks good on paper, but when the whistle blows yall falter. It is inevitable and you just jinxed your team once again by giving them lofty praises when they have not earned it. Nobody wants to here you came close to going 9-2. The fact was you didn't and that speaks volumes. You act like folks are going to give you that chance again. TP, yall aint as good as you might think you are. They are still not battle tested either. Comegy still has not won a big game on the road in the SWAC. You are going to be disappointed big time. I promise yall will. JSU no longer strikes fear into anybody. It has been too long. You can't blame Bell. He won no titles. Neither did Hughes and for that matter Big Daddy had lost to SU more than he won against us. Even in 96 your last SWAC title, SU beat yall and if it wasn't for a miracle comeback by Texas Southern against SU, your draught would be longer. Aint like JSU whooped us for that title in 96. You back doored it just like you accused the Bamas all the time.

JR, the problem you all don't see is that last year, JSU fans did not expect a title or Bham. We expected 7-4. To go 6-5 and have 3 games that could have gone either way is exactly what we expected. You should not be scared of us YET....this time next year you will be. Well, by the end of September, you will be..... :nod:

We are kickin azz this year. PERIOD.
