"Human Jukebox" vs "Sonic Boom"


That skit at the end hurt SU's performance at the end and I noticed that SU used the metal bells on the tubas which gave them a signature sound that was totally uncharacteristic of of the SU sound--I wonder what brought that about about (no pun intended)? BUT, overall, both shows were weak and I think both bands need to really work on bring in that innovation because the shows I have been seeing haven't been that innovative.

So im Kappa Kappa Psi, and I marched for Grambling. And if I have a opinion on SU or any band, Do I still have the right? HECK YEA! An I dare anybody from SU, whomever to differ.
For all im concerned, Im apart of a Global Band Police period... And I wish someone would be ignorant enough to say. "You marched for Grambling, you dont count" As far as im concerned im tied to all and any college marching bands all over the nation. An even if this man was not KKPSI, as a bandsmen, he has the right to voice that. SU is not the next best thing to the world and SU really needs to chill with that ish man. Yeah SU band is good. But dang, your not a 9th wonder of the world.

Didn't SU's drum major get major flack for dropping his baton? Is that on youtube cause that schitt was funny as hell. He tried to play it off, but it just blew the rest of SU's performance.

You right I understand you excerising your freedom of speech. I should have not made the comment excuse me. Know I will say this this new school bands suck. I haven't seen one yet that I like from gram, jsu, and SU. I marched in SU in 88. None of yall do what yall suppose to do anymore and that is support the team and get the crowd going. No wonder we got our kids wanting to go to LSU. The band to busy playing them damn fanfares and to be honest they sounded like crap. You need to police that BS

We saw it you saw it. Who cares!!! Even with the drop baton, SU show was still better than JSU. Both shows suck to me but JSU show suck a lot more. LMAO

Did Lidell get major flack for copying an old Jukebox show? What about for making thos snakes on the field? I know he had to have gotten flack for using Get Ready as a drill tune... Seriously? Get Ready? The worst version of the sonic woom that I've ever seen! A disgrace...

Both schools sucked, I guess Jackson sucked more because their lines were crooked and they never got them straighten out. Jackson did a high school drill and they didn't execute it. I give Jackson D-

Southern's drill wasn't much better but it was better executed. C-.

Why is it every time someone from another school gives their opinion, folks got to attack them and say your opinion doesn't matter because you went to school X?

Why not just take what they say and roll with it.

Becasue sometimes, people get on here talkin about the BOOMs lines and their own band can't drill. :lol:

Especially a MEAC band. MEAC bands make basic lines and stand still for 80% of their show. The BOOM may have some crooked azz lines but we DRILL non-stop to 2-3 songs. Few bands can make that claim. Not excusing the BOOM's lines they suck.

But I think that most on here would agree that neither band had much room to brag so the bickering should stop. That was unequivocally, the worst SU band I have ever seen or heard. Their fans didn't even cheer when they finished their show and their sound was way off. That was quite telling. I still don't see how SU can try to say JSU tries to sound like them when the SU sound is so different from 10 years ago. We all change I guess. But a Jukebox with no volume is a big disapointment.

The crowd not cheering for the band has "NOTHING to do with how they sound or look..

SU band looked great on the field.. dance routine just wasnt pleasing to the crowd.. and they sound great...

By the way.....They have clips posted already to disprove the sound quality you on here lying about... I'll wait for Dacon to comment. He's about one of the few from JSU that will come on here that actually has musical knowledge and give a fair opinion.. Until thensit back.. I asked you already for your honest opinion of them marches. and if you are pleased with JSU did in that clip, it is very clear I need to ignore any and everything you say when it comes to band.

Again, go back to that thread and explain what you like about JSU on that clip.
