Howard football coach Ron Prince placed on administrative leave


Supposedly the investigation started weeks ago. I wonder why they're just now placing him on administrative leave.

I'm guessing since the investigation started, Howard has uncovered enough information where they can place him on leave and eventually (legally) get out of having to pay off that contract. (Just a guess)

Yes, our former AD (who destroyed our athletic program) thought you could just walk folks out the door with no due process for anything and we ended up in court battle after court battle. We have still not recovered from her reign of terror

You are so right!!!!! We are having the same problem on high school levels. What may have worked years ago doesn't work presently. My son is a perfect example.....you could tell him "Jay I'm disappointed in what you did....or Jay you did that incorrectly here is the correct way to do it." That means more to him that coming at him with profanity laced words and screaming. Even teachers are telling the current high school coach that he is not communicating with the kids in order to motivate them.

My son plays for Howard. I know EVERYTHING that Prince did and trust me...........it had NOTHING to do with weak boys or mama's boys. This dude is a clown and shouldn't have coached anywwehre. This dude did the same exact thing at K-State and even Detroit Lions players were ready to get rid of him because of his antics. And I don't think NFL players are weak. Howard didn't do their homework on Prince before hiring him. When coaches leave your staff in the middle of a season and multiple players leave the team and enter the transfer portal at the same time........it's not about weak boys. And what he did to the injured players was ridiculous and put players in more harm than helping them get better was all true. The things in the letters that the parents wrote were all true. There's a way to motivate players and you can yell and shout all you want and there's nothing wrong with that at all. But he crossed the line with a lot of the things he did.

Another thing... all the folks calling these dudes weak.. 1. Do your research, starting with a simple GOOGLE search. 2. You wouldn't dare say that shit to their faces.

if that mess about him asking if and bringing up the possibility that some of his players were gay is true........nah homes. you gotta go. that's totally not acceptable behavior from a head coach.

Still doesn’t negate the fact that a LOT of these physically capable boys are (mentally) weak as the soft petal of a rose under the duress of morning dew. I’ve never seen so many boys get hit and lay down, stay down smh w/out popping right back up to knock the shit out of someone in an opposing jersey color. smh

But I can recall 5 games where too many of our sorry assed players, not student-athletes, did that stupid shit. I recall easily because I vehemently yelled at a differing # of them to get their lazy ass off the ground at several games.

Make it make sense.
