GRANDEUR...
i'm seeing a lot of b'days lately, and it got me to thinking about my next milestone, the DIRTY THIRTY!!! i personally want to do something that i haven't done before, borderline extravagant cause you only do it once. so how did you guys celebrate turning 30? did you do something average, did you go over the top, or did you treat it like just another day?

Nothing special...I was still celebrating my divorce, that happened 2 months prior. NOW, turning 40 will be a whole nutha story.

I didn't do anything special for 30. I already had the day off from work, so I just relaxed. I'm still not sure what I will end up doing for 31.

Some how I don't know what I did.....

I think when I was 29, my girls went out and got our azzes tatooed....because I wanted to do something fun and silly in my 20s....When 30 came, it was another ball game.

I don't know what I'm going to do. I would like to actually leave the country for my 30th. I know my 25th I chilled on the beach and my 21st I had a huge party. I always said the big celebrations should be 18, 21, 25, 30, 40, etc.

I was dealing with an angry, crying for 2-hours-straight 1-year-old baby at my husband's aunt funeral on my 30th birthday.

March Madness 2003......off da chain.

But honestly, I didn't do what I really wanted to do for my 30th, which was fly to somebody's island or country. :(

Now my 40th birthday- I'm planning my shat like now.

Didn't do anything special for 30. Atleast I don't remember doing anything big. I did have a suprise birthday party for my wife when she turned 30.

Well on my 30th my homeboy woke me up with a phone call about the space shuttle Columbia exploding. After that all I did was go out to dinner with my mom.

That was sweet...now, I took my 20's out w/a bang. I had a bad ass party when I turned 29. :quiet:

I turn 30 in Feb and Im not happy about it.

Me and my best friend (Feb. 17)are trying to plan a big party here in St. Louis then after that we are heading to the Cayman island.

Its gonna be off the chain....partywise.

Oh the memories....the parties just wouldn't stop. I actually had parties for 3 months in several different cities and locations. The last party was in New York City for New Year's Eve with a bizillion people. :jump:

Why? You should be glad to see another year and decade.

I didnt see myself like this at 21.

couple of grey strands in the beard, hair thinning, moving a little slower, cant get all the party hops and marches like I used to.

:(

That's how I spent my 30th, traveling and partying in diffrent cities. Memphis one weekend, Atlanta (off the chain) the next weekend and then new Orleans the next and then I ended the month with a little party at a club. Now for my 40th (2010) my daughter and I are going to South Africa. That will be the same year that she graduates from high school and and I want to have that one last "mother-daughter" trip before she goes to college. It will be a milestone for us both. 40 for me and high school graduation and 18th bday for her.
