I'm an adult and I want to know if someone I'm involved with is sexually involved with someone else...that's called being responsible...being aware and make'n smart choices.
That's keep'n it REAL.
Scenario:
Phase 1
You have a teenage daughter or son...who lives with you and is sexually active, but you don't know it. 9 months later he or she has a child...well how does that come about? You guessed it...she/he has been sexually involved with @ least one person...that you know of...but perhaps not the only one.
Nobody, who knew, including your child told you they were involved.
Phase2
Series of checks and balances. Your child is exposed to AIDS,
his or her partner or partners are HIV positive. Ohhh no...
don't tell me...I'm just the parent living with a child that's not only pregnant, but exposed and HIV positive and could have possible infected a whole slew of teenagers in the community, @ school, abroad...etc. Couldn't been prevented!
You do the math...stop being silly and be REAL!
Reality is...if you're child is screwing these days...just like you...
they run a much bigger risk of dying a lot faster....it's not about
confidentiality...it's about being informed, making smart decisions about your life, and preventing any harm to yourself and others.
But, what do we "HENS" know we're just women...who are the products of a combination of " a man and a woman". Its one thing to confide in someone. It's another thing to withhold info that is potentially harmful and detrimental to your livelihood.
Take your chances with your own child...It's a chance I wouldn't be willing to take if I had a child!
You can't keep'm from screwing, but you can "teach" them what's right and how to protect themselves. We all make some dumb choices @ one time or another...but do you keep make'n the same dumb decisions over and over or do you learn and do better. Answer not needed, because some folks still make the same dumb arse choices...over and over.
