"Leader of Kings"
"It's been my great joy and honor to own the Houston Rockets for the past 24 years," Alexander said in a statement. "I've had the incredible opportunity to witness true greatness through the players and coaches who have won championships for the city, been named to All-Star and All-NBA teams, enshrined in the Basketball Hall of Fame, and done so much for our franchise and our fans.

Les wasn't a bad owner. He wasn't the greatest owner. But he was decent.Hell he was better than ole Charlie Thomas who owned the Rockets before Les did. Hakeem was about to kill that dude. LOL

I'm sure the Rockets are not going anywhere, but I can think of three areas that are drooling for a NBA franchise. I think the City of Houston should get involved to make sure the team is sold to the right individuals. Maybe Japanese investors, such as Toyota might buy the team.

LOL. You think ole boy is going to buy the team?

Yea I believe he will. Him with his casino money along with his cousins after they made that UFC sale will go in together to do it. The cousins sold the UFC trying to get a piece of the Raiders but that fell thru so this I can see all of them doing together.

Houston has absolutely nothing to worry about and the city can't get involved. It is up to the other NBA owners to approve the sale. State of the art facility, good fan base, and in a great city. No potential owner would be allowed to even think of moving the Rockets. They will get some SERIOUS potential owners involved in this bid. This is a good stable franchise to purchase.

My point is, getting a good stable owner.

I understand. But that is up to the NBA and the other owners. The city of Houston has no say in it. Now I am sure the NBA commish and the owners will want the best for themselves which means a good stable owner in Houston. Les isn't going to agree to sale the Rockets to any ole cat. I am sure the Landry's guy will be a top candidate to get the team. Or if any local Houston contingent is wanting to get the team. This will be a solid sale. I doubt they have any fly by night type owner approved for the Rockets. Now for some other teams. Maybe. LOL. Les is about to get paid. The new owner will inherit a pretty new arena and a championship caliber team. The person who needs to be worried is Dantoni and the front office. New owner will want their own people.

These fools outchea saying Beyoncé and Jay as candidates. They got money, but not Tillman Fertitta money

Tillman comes from old money.

It'll end up like the Texans..one major owner but a lot of local investors to make it look Houston
