BATON ROUGE, La. – Alabama State track and field showed up and showed out at the 2024 Southwestern Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championship, which culminated with a women's team title and several medal placers.

"The team came together and competed and acted like champions throughout this weekend," said Alabama State head coach Ritchie Beene. "I'm super excited for our student-athletes. Our team put in the work, and it showed with a lot of gutsy and exciting performances. I'm excited for our student-athletes, coaches, staff, administration, and Alabama State University."
