The "Icon" of BCF
To the average layman, this intangible is a wonderful thing. Striving for a particular goal with the hope of succeeding is all the most gratifying. However, there is a darkside of hope. The type where hoping for a Valley win gives you an edge (i.e. the year 2000). This is the most shameful, prideless shade of hope that causes years of sarcasm. To be renowned as a once, storied program and fall to the pits of Hades is so repugnant that champions gasp. To hope and beg for an Alcorn win (fill in the team year after year) only to set yourself up for the ultimate shame (getting your ass kicked twice in the same season) is low.
Being once so beautiful, now becoming so hard to look at (Hughes send help) give champions a hopeless view of your future in terms of competitiveness. Never can hope be so bad (oxymoron).
