The studies are in, the hotel and rental car taxes have been passed and approved by the state, the lobbying and public relations has begun. Hopefully in about 5 years or so, the SCG will be inside this:

Maybe some of ASUs, AAMUs and Tuskegee's "classics" will visit here at least once (twice in the case of ASU and AAMU) a year.

I still the idea of different places being the site for the SCG, just like different Bowls have determined the National Champ.

That's good news.

Sonic,

I agree partially with what you said, however, if that dome gets built in the Magic City, they will roll out the "red carpet" for the SWAC making it hard for another venue to compete. That brings us yet again to the issue of "who wants us, and will make efforts to bring the championship game to their city?"

When the Dome gets built hasn't gotten here. I mean until then.

Welp, too bad Poarch Creek Don't own land near B'ham.

Maybe Montgomery needs to raise Crampton Bowl and build a dome in it's place in that case:

Too bad the Poarch Creek don't own land in/near Birmingham. Deez mugz just opened a larger gaming center in Montgomery County just outside the city Limits of Montgomery. They are now looking at building a $100M gaming center & hotel in Wetumpka.

I agree BARTRAM: The Montgomery area could be the next "money mecca" for the state including in that package "Hyundai".
