Now I have proof, now it's starting to make sense. I considered asking point blank, but I knew that LaCumba would come on with some Southernese that only further distorted the truth, BgJag would call out the jarheads (the lightskinned ones) and do a Rambo on my premises at 0600 hours, Downtown would say I'm hating, and JROCK would just ramble on without really saying anything. And for God's sake, I didn't want to read one of JR's dissertations about why certain folk are hired to be Petey's coordinators.

Initially, I thought it was just a case of thinking Dwight Mann's Ice is Colder! But it seems that Pete has a connection with a lot of these folk that we didn't realize. They all had a similar work history and employer back in the day.

But we all know your football program is lead by a cartoon character who cares more about color schemes than defensive schemes. Face the fact, Sugar Pops Pete only has confidence in white coordinators. After all these years he finally has a black coordinator (by default becuz the white boy left) and then he doesn't give either full rein.

It shows that Pete didn't attend an HBCU...he got mucho love for the gringos and whether we say it in a joke or point blank the fact is...he loves dem peeples! Probably why yall always play in that weak azz yella uniforms.

:mad: I am responding to the very first post on this topic. It is always amazing to me how much the other swac schools pay so much attention to Southern University. It is that the Jaguar Nation is just too great? Rather than spend your time hatin and making stupid jokes about a great school you should be paying attention to your own school and programs. Now I know this is the smack board and I have talked some smack to represent my school. When it comes to just plain respect for each school then that is when i draw the line. Jokes like that don't even fly. Everybody always making something out of nothing about the "skin tone" issue at SU. If I am not mistaken we as Black people are many tones. The white slave master saw to that. The year is 2002 and stupid jokes about the Black race and Black schools needs to stop.
