Yep. Remember the game was scheduled for Itta Bena. Former Valley AD Lonza Hardy orchestrated the the move before he resigned. I was glad, because it is tough to play them at Rice-Totten Stadium. So yep thanks Valley for showing us SU folks a good time in Chicago. I am sure it will be awhile before they invite us back considering we played them in the inaugural Chicago Classic 10 years ago and Melvin Williams and Steve Wofford both had over a 100 yards rushing. I guess we ran over them again with our rbs. LOL.

To ALL MY Mississippi Valley State University friends and aquaintances....

There is nothing personal about this.........we like you ladies and gents, you are very nice quite hospitable people and most of all y'all tailgate big time....y'all DO NOT bring spam and viennie sausages and a pack of crackers and declare you are the #1 tailgaters in the SWAC like some people we are familiar with who does that kind of snit. You guys and girls tailgate 1st class AND your Band is EXCELLENT........BUT PLEASE don't take this whooping personally.

Oh BTW.......y'all can bring all the OKRA you can handle and fry it up and we will have a feast........bring a Jacket.....the forecast says its going to be between 60-70 degrees after the sun goes down.

Popeye's Buffet is located on south parkway(only Buffet location)......great buffet...all you can eat for $6.95......Ryans and other are easy to find......KFC buffet is located on Jordan Lane.....Jim Martin's Tailgaters BBQ is located north on hwy 53 about 8-10 miles north of the KFC on Jordan lane. The chinese buffet's are located throughout the city.......if you want home cookin' you can try Mama Annie's located on Meridian St just North of AAMU. Coach Cooper has a CHurch's Chicken located just North of the practice field that has EXCELLENT Chicken, OKRA and other side items........they change the grease twice a day at that church's location.

Tickets are $16-$18...kids 6-12 and students is $8-$10....I think. Tickets are sold on both the east & west sides of the stadium from 9:00 am on Sat. You must check in with MD or Mike for your complimentary LoneStar.

You know I'm real proud to have attended a swac school, let alone Mvsu, I just love the noise talking every week. But not so fast aamu, you know how the swac goes, not to bring up the past, but we beat both of the swac championship participants last year, and also was one game from going to the championship and winning it. Don't be surprised if we have our offense together this game. I know we are the underdawgs, and always are, but look out for some real smash mouth football, welcome back to the swac. Yall had good practice against the B team versions of tsu, and clark/atl. I mean I went to the southern heritage classice, tsu needs to join the naia, because thats embarrassing to be in the state's capitol, and that's the only talent they can get, its not like there are so many black schools in tenn, but I look forward to a good game!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go devils
 
After TnSU lost to us, we took all the air out of their balloon, but thanks to all that hot air coming from Jackson they got their swag back.
