If SU wouldn've scored in the first, second, third, and fourth quarter, we would've kicked y'alls ass. Period.

That's true, but they do play a part in your strength of schedule which is what this thread is about. Try to stay on topic... ;)

P.S. Here are a couple more errors in that report I would like to point out to you since you didn't pay too much attention. There is a 0-3 team, Valley, missing from your record in that link. Which would of course bring yours down, then add in Allen and Lincoln. Well... I'll just leave it at that.

As for ours... You can easily point out the flaws. San Jose State isn't listed. And after that, our other previous opponents (Alcorn and AAMU) are not 2-2. They are 2-4.

I guess since it was written down then you thought it was true. So, before you start trying to be smart. Pay attention...

That's not true, it's base off of.......

Toughest Schedule
(Teams with at least 9 Inter-Division games)
Sorted on Cumulative
Opposition
13-SEP-03 Data Valid Thru :
IAA Division

That clearly tells you they started from last year until this date and for that same reason they can't add allen and lincoln because we haven't played them yet.

As for your assertion that they didn't add valley in, what do you think the three wins they calculated in the equation does?

Excuse me I won't try to be smart anymore or better yet I won't become a lie detector anymore.:p

Do you know what Cumulative Opposition means? Let me help you out since clearly you don't. It's the combination between past opposition and future opposition. That's also in the link in which you posted. See they added the two together and came up with cumulative opposition. Following me? Let's continue...

Notice that is under the past competition column. Here's yours:

Valley 0-3
PV 1-2
AT&T 2-1

The three wins came from AT&T having two wins and PV having one. I know you can understand that. Like I said, Valley wasn't included. If you would like for me to break down the whole table for you, I will. :D

Actually, Valley was included....at 0-2....and A&T at 2-0....and PV at 1-1.....Add them up and you get 3-3.....

In this particular SOS formula, the game with the team is not counted. Only the opponents' records vs. others are figured in.....

So, how did Grambling's get counted?

SJSU 1-2
Alcorn 1-2
AAMU 1-2

Using what you said would mean that ours should be 2-4 not 2-2, right? Unless they only counted Alcorn at 1-2 and AAMU at 1-2... Giving us 2-2.

The only thing that I could gather from this is that they don't include teams from other divisions i.e. Allen; Lincoln; San Jose State. Which wouldn't take all teams played into account... So this way of judging schedule strength is flawed.

Southern, on the other hand, has proved little in its first three games.

The Jaguars' three wins came against teams that are a combined 3-8 (although two of those came against Division II or NAIA
