You can shut this thread down. At first I was upset about playing Paul Quinn. We turned down an invite to Detroit and we turned town opportunities to play top 1-AA schools and 1-A schools for Paul Quinn. After thinking about it, I saw how ingenious this was. We get to start off the season at home and we get an easy win in Memorial before taking a week off to further work out the kinks and give our 20 transfers more time to learn the system before we start kicking azz. The excitement in Jackson is unreal. We had more at our spring game than you all had a Eddie Rob's last game. Everyone wants to see Comegy. He is the next coming. It does not matter if we played a High School on September 2nd, the fans just want a game to see what Comegy wants to do. That is JSU football. We have real fans, Just don't let our game against the likes of Paul Quinn outdraw your game against Hampton.

Don't try to divert from the fact that we are back in business and we are going to take over Ruston like we used to.

Grambling is not located in Ruston... and you we've won more games in Jackson than you will ever win in Grambling. Do you even have a winning record against us in Jackson? I know dayum well we have a winning record over dat azz in Grambling.

Good quest gud. I was @ a few PQ bball games looking at a relative play ball and happened to come across a few coaches (forgot their names) and a couple of returning players. I told'em that I was a JState grad and a SWAC advocate and that we were (and I quote myself :uhoh: ): <b>"Gonna' loose the foot on that dat azz this fall... JState by 80, gott dayamit! :slap: :mad: :uhoh:</b>" Them mofos laughed me up and down the parking lot @ Spragg and said (and I quote them :smh: ): "<b>We gonna' have a surprise for dat azzzzzzzzzz my knicka! We got a fewwwwwwwwwwwww suprizez for allllllllllllllll-mighty J-es-U :slap:</b>" Left me lik :confused:.

I want JState to drop the hamma' on they ass by 100. One of they fans cursed me out @ a bball game and I cut loose on her. Plz don't make a lie out of JSU. :rolleyes: :shame:

That was last year. Remember how Grambling was not competitive with JSU in 2004 but you spanked us in 2005?? That is the type of azz whoopins JSU is about to dish out. Paul Quinn is simply "Meet Comegy Day" and an easy win.

Wasn't competitive...dude, we had a true 17 year old freshman qb and a coach who at that time didn't utilize his running game (something he realized and corrected AFTER the JSU game). Also remember that the two projected starters at wide receiver was out that year...we started a converted sophomore rb (Tolbert) and a true freshman (Edwards). Then on top of that, we had some staff issues (Defensive Coordinator and several position coaches were not hired til August). Bottom line...we weren't ready and yall only managed a 4 point win thanks to a late interception by the cb yall had that was supposed to be good... I can't recall his name, but hell he's from JSU and outside of Payton and Brazile I don't recall many of your players anyway.

Dude, you lost by 9. Never had the lead. Was down midway through the 4th 25-8. Bell played you soft for 3 quarters after he reeled of 19 points. You didn't score at all in the first half. You simply got drug.

I ain't got time for your excuses. Have you forgotten that we also had QB issues, depth issues, and coaching issues??

See that's what I call a true leader... As an upper level member of the Cartel, I apologize to you for having an exchange with a member of your lower level Mafia organization. My bad!

But those weren't excuses...they were reasons we lost. The main one being that Spears didn't handle his bizness. But the thing is, he improved in his game management and personnel decisions. Something that Bell never did, but that's neither here nor there. Yall got a pretty good coach now...just keep him away from the cinnamon rolls and those photo op folk running around in the Sipp. It's been a long time since yall had a coach who anyone can remember beating Bama State like Comegys.

I have already given a press release on the my stance on the James Bell situation. If you cared about Grambling, you would be trying to run Spears out of the along with his co-horts who make up the WORST staff in BCF...White, Palmer and your o-line coach along with Spears are a joke. Spears did not get better...he simply had Eugene. This year, I shole hope that Hampton don't school you all without Eugene becasue JSU is going to tan that azz...

Spears handled his bizness...he went undefeated in conference. His azz gotta do it(or come close) again. When he doesn't, I will be on his azz and unlike you with Bell, not on his nuts!

Spears is better. Spears is becoming a very good coach. Spears will be better than those mention in your post if he keeps recruiting like he does. Spears already has the casual gramfan in his pocket cause of his respect to the legacy of gram football (see comegy at jsu) . Spears just has to win and he has to keep winning. I feel spears can be special as i have said in the paper plenty of times but he has to win and have folks around him who can HELP him. Make no mistake about it as Mikebigg said i expect spears to win and demand any coach at gram to win with the given talent. Spears has the talent this year and many years to come. I will be the first one along with Mikebigg on his azz if he messes up during the season. I don't believe in riding coaches nuts either!!!!

Spears got a pass this year by JSU and SU being down. We both know that won't last too long. When that happens, we know that Pete is going to stomp a mudhole in Spears...and when SU gets their next coach, you know he can coach circles around Spears.
