Here we go again! Some more young fools run amok!

It would make no sense to have a college fraternity with no college membership.

It makes even less sense to allow a college fraternity to act like a ghetto street gang, and expect to continue to exist. Key word here....COLLEGE!!

I just think that if you end all undergrad membership permanently, you might as well fold the organization.

Epsilon Epsilon Chapter (Oklahoma State) suspended for five years!

Epsilon Epsilon Chapter (Oklahoma State University) Receives 5 year Suspension for Hazing from General Organization
For years Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. has taken extraordinary measures to prevent hazing. Members of the Fraternity know our HYPERLINK "../membership/policy.html"position on hazing and they know the consequences for violating those rules. We have defined it for everyone. We have had training on the issue. We have taken legal action in the past against those who have violated our rules. We can not say this more clearly and emphatically, young men in the prime of their lives involved in a brutality serve no purpose. ?HAZING IS NOT CONDONED BY ALPHA PHI ALPHA!?

We have suspended everyone involved and are seeking action to expel them from the Fraternity. We have also suspended the chapter for 5 years after which everyone involved would have graduated and we can start anew. We applaud the young man who exposed the hazing at Oklahoma State University. This is the type of young man who has the intestinal fortitude that makes a true Alpha man.

Alpha Phi Alpha was founded 100 years ago. During that time we have been at the forefront of the Civil Rights Movement. We have played integral roles in the advancement of people in all walks of life. We have been mentors to boys through The Boy Scouts of America. We have a strong association with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. We raise money for the March of Dimes and our boldest project to date; we are building a memorial in Washington, D.C. to our most famous member, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

We are proud to be members and I am personally proud to be the leader of this organization that has meant so much to the fabric of America. However, we are all saddened that there are those who have performed acts that damage those good things we have achieved. We will proceed ? but we will move on without those who bring harm to others.
