This can't be true, it shows Valley's total compensation as $462,500 how can they afford to pay that much? The next closes is Famu at $331,000!

Nah either this is incomplete or wrong.Dr.Mason at SU makes 450k as president and Chancellor of the Baton Rouge campus makes 295K.
 
All of it is not pure salary. I was discussing this in Smalltalk. We need to find some corporate boards for our Presidents to sit on. That will really get their compensation up there.
